 Jacob Dattner, 105
HADLEY - Jacob Dattner, 105, passed away on Aug. 31 at the SunBridge nursing home in Hadley. A Holocaust survivor, Jacob was one of eight siblings. His mother and only sister died in Auschwitz. 

 Archer FitzGerald
WESTFIELD - Archer Pease FitzGerald, 88, of Westfield passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30. He was born in New York City on Jan. 9, 1919, and was the son of the late Archer W. FitzGerald and Mary Pease FitzGerald. 

 Charles King
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Charles W. King, 89, a resident of East Hartford, died Monday, Sept. 3, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his beloved wife and family. Born in Greenfield April 9, 1918, he was the son of the late Frederick Sr. and Margaret (Bowe) King. He was raised and educated in the Greenfield school system. 

 Donald Mariz
LAWNDALE, Calif. - Donald F. Mariz, 72, native of Northampton and longtime resident of Lawndale, Calif., passed away Friday, Aug. 24, at Royal Wood Care Center in Torrance, Calif. 

 Elaine Moggio
WESTHAMPTON - Elaine M. Moggio, 54, of 58 South Shore Road, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, in Baystate Medical Center in Springfield after a period of failing health. She was born in Greenfield June 4, 1953, the daughter of Barbara (Collins) Woods and the late Bruce Wood. Elaine was educated in Whately schools and graduated from Frontier Regional High School, class of 1971. 

 Clifford Patnaude
AMHERST - Clifford W. Patnaude, 79, of Amherst and Dunnellon, Fla., passed away suddenly Aug. 31, at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Born in Pelham on Dec. 15, 1927, Clifford was the son of the late Peter Patnaude and Idola Beauregard. He graduated from Amherst High School. 

 Ennis Ricketts
NORTHAMPTON - Ennis Lee Ricketts, 66, of 81 Conz St., died Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Northampton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born in Waterbury, Conn., he was the son of the late Ennis J. and Bernice (Johnson) Ricketts. He was educated in Waterbury schools.

Cuesta Benberry, 83, one of the nation's foremost quilt scholars, who pieced together the history of the art from castoff patches of information, died of congestive heart failure Aug. 23 at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis.
