BELLORA, A. Ernest 82, of Framingham, died Monday, June 15, 2009. Devoted husband to the late Dorothy R. (Frasier) Bellora. Son of the late Henry V. and Teresa (Banda) Bellora. Devoted father to his four daughters, Andrea Nemergut and her husband Richard of Killingsworth, CT, Gale (Terri) Roberti and her husband Paul of Yarmouth, Diane Savageau and her husband Paul of Marlboro, and Kim Green of Westford. He was an awesome grandfather to, Kristine Gongora and her husband Rafe of Syracuse, Robert Marane of Brooklyn, NY, Tracie Roberti of Natick, Kim Zanella and her husband Andrew of Framingham, Deirdre Savageau of Marlboro, Nicolette Savageau of Framingham and Matthew Green of Westford. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Gabby and Alex Gongora both of Syracuse and Jackson and Ainsley Zanella both of Framingham. Brother of the late Angelo and his wife Margaret Bellora and father-in-law of the late Richard Green. Anita Maria Bonacorsi Teeter

TEETER, Anita Maria Bonacorsi 78, died peacefully June 12, 2009 after a long illness. Anita was born in Lawrence, MA, on June 15, 1930. She was a woman full of life and love, with a smile for everyone. She grew up the child of millworkers in Lawrence, MA, in a large extended family of Sicilian immigrants.She attended Lawrence High School and through hard work and determination was the first in her family to attend college, winning a full scholarship to Radcliffe College Anita earned a Bachelor's degree from Radcliffe and, in 1966, a graduate degree in elementary education from Harvard. Anita taught elementary school in inner city Boston for almost 30 years. A tireless advocate for children, throughout her teaching career Anita worked to address the needs of economically disadvantaged children, and children of color. She was an educational pioneer, introducing black and women's history into her curriculum. Following her retirement she offered consultation to teachers in curriculum development . She also volunteered as an adult literacy tutor and in a day-care center for homeless children. Her activism for children was not limited to the local area. Anita sponsored many children from third-world countries, and visited Guatemala to further her connection with some of them. She welcomed international exchange students into her home regularly. In 1997, at age 67 she attended the Stand for Children - Million Mom March in Washington D.C. She regularly attended opera, theater, museums and concerts. When she couldn't attend events, she listened to her beloved jazz, classical, and folk music at home. When traveling abroad, whether to Italy, Scandinavia, or Japan, Anita was sure to delve into the culture of the people. Anita had a strong commitment to her family. She was married in 1951 to Karl van Duyn Teeter, who became a professor of linguistics at Harvard University. After spending time in Japan when Karl was drafted during the Korean War, she moved with him to Berkeley, California. She gave birth to two daughters, Katharine and Judith, then moved to Cambridge in 1959, where she gave birth to twin daughters, Teresa and Martha. Anita lived in Cambridge with her family for 49 years. Anita is pre-deceased by her husband Karl V. Teeter, who died in 2007. She leaves behind four loving daughters, Katharine Emilie Teeter Thomas of Cambridge, MA, Judith Ann Teeter of Pittsburgh, PA, Teresa Maria Teeter Sargent of Jaffrey, NH, and Martha Elisabeth Cregan of North Reading, MA, as well as twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17 at the Arlington Street Church, 351 Boylston Street, Boston, MA. Wife of 67 years to the late Arthur Haley Sr. who died in 1998. Mother of Arthur A.  Arthur L. Viera, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died at the Marian Manor on June 15, 2009 at the age of 83. He was the husband of the late Elsie A. (Lawrence) Viera. Born in Norton, he was the son of the late Manuel and Augusta (Rodrigues) Viera. A resident of Raynham, he resided in Taunton for many years. Educated in Taunton schools, he was later employed by the former Geilich Tannery. In his later years, Mr. Viera also worked as a part-time bartender for the former Leca’s Café, later known as Richard’s in Whittenton. He was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed spending time working in the yard. He also enjoyed summers on Cape Cod. His favorite pastime was watching his great-grandsons play Little League baseball. Survivors include 3 sons, Ernest J. “Sonny” Correia, Jr. of Berkley, John E. Correia of Taunton, and Arthur L. Viera, Jr. of Swansea; 2 daughters, Marion A. Long of Eliot, ME and Beverly A. Crowninshield of Raynham; a brother, Edward Viera of Dighton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Joseph Viera, Lena Gonsalves, and Laura Correia. Ed married Fran in 1944. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a pilot and flew a B-24 Liberator aircraft in the Carpetbagger Division of the 801st/492nd Bombardment Group. Ed graduated in 1949 from UMass Amherst, receiving a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Food Science. He worked with Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC, Cryovac Chemical Co. in Cambridge, United Fruit & Food/United Brands in Boston, private consulting and Natick Laboratories in Natick. Ed enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, gardening and extensive travel with his wife. He loved music, dancing and his summer home at Lovell Lake in NH. ONSET —David Derosier, 75, of Onset, died at his home on Thursday, June 11, 2009. He was the husband of the late Sheila M. (Grace) Derosier and had been married for 50 years. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Albert and Constance (Hood) and graduated from Whitman High School in 1952, where he played football. Mr. Derosier was the former owner of D &H Auto Body in West Bridgewater and Sheila's Place antique shop. He was an amateur stock car racer, an avid hunter and fisherman and was a Coast Guard licensed captain, who made many boat deliveries between Massachusetts and Florida. Survivors include his son, David Derosier II and his wife Sarah of Middleboro; brothers and sisters, Richard Derosier of East Bridgewater, Diane Robertson of Seattle, Wash., Marilyn Manning of Whitman, Albert Derosier of Norwell, Norman Derosier of Bridgewater, Christine Cataldi of Pembroke, and Constance Ahearn of Plymouth. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Peter Derosier. He completed the Boston Marathon in under 2 hours. He recently worked as a Faculty Assistant, at Harvard University. He is preceded in death by his mother Teresa DiMino and his grandparents Anna and Ralph LaCambria. Douglas G. Mann

MANN, Douglas G. Inventor, pioneer of industry, native of Massachusetts and resident of Venice, Florida passed away on June 7, 2009 at the age of 66, with both of his children by his side. Mr. Mann graduated from Hanover High School, Boston University, attended Suffolk Law School and served as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He was the inventor of a catering steamer and founded Clambake International, the first catering company to provide authentic New England Clambakes throughout the country. Mr. Mann is also recognized as a pioneer in the nutraceutical industry as the creator of the Max product line and its technology and science that has set a standard throughout the industry today. Doug is survived by his daughter Nicole Mann of South Boston, MA, his son Ryan Mann of Buffalo, NY, brother David and his wife Marjorie Mann of Buzzards Bay, MA, brother Charles and his wife Leanne Mann of Hanson, MA, and sister Sally Mann of Broadalbin, NY. He honorably served his country as a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. He worked as a machinist at Ratheon Corporation in Waltham, MA for 40 years before his retirement in 1989. An avid gardener, he also enjoyed crossword puzzles and home remodeling projects. He was also a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and New England Patriots. WEST YARMOUTH —Josephine D. (Donahue) Gibney, passed into eternal life on June 10, 2009, at the age of 95. Josephine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carroll A. Gibney. Josephine graduated from Turner's Falls High School in Turner's Falls, where most of her family resided. After high school, she moved to New York to pursue a career as a baby nurse with the Foundling Home. After she married, she lived in Holyoke and West Yarmouth. After her husband passed away in 1962, she attended Cape Cod Community College and earned her LPN degree. She worked at Cape Cod Hospital and then enjoyed a long career with VNA of Cape Cod until her retirement. Josephine loved knitting, needlepoint, Lawrence Welk, and doting on her great, great grand nieces and nephews (her babies). Josephine is survived by her niece, Patricia Ann Webby and her husband Tom of Carver, niece, Diana Martin of Brockton, Catherine Helms of West Yarmouth, along with her children, Melissa Anthony, Elise and Tara, grandnephew, Larry Gallant and his wife Maryanne, grandniece, Sandra Power and her husband Glenn, their children, Jennifer and Stephanie, along with many great great grand nieces and nephews. In Taunton, June 11, 2009 Kyle A. died suddenly at the age of 27.  Kyle was the loving son of Donald & Carol (Thornley) Paquette of Taunton.  He was born in Stoughton and educated in Taunton schools.  Kyle graduated from Bristol-Plymouth High School and later from U-MA. He was the husband of Katherine (Kalinick) LoPorto for 59 years; father of Joyce LoPorto of Centerville, Lisa Anne LoPorto of Barnstable, and Karen LoPorto Kiss of Centerville; and brother of Theresa Farentino of Marlboro and the late Salvatore, Angelo, and Emil. Anthony also leaves his two grandchildren, Stephanie and Dana. Anthony owned and operated Marios Sportswear, a women's clothing manufacturing factory in the north end of Boston for 45 years until his retirement. He enjoyed being in the sun, sports, golf, and was a member of the Old Timer's Softball League on Cape Cod for 18 years. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. Mann, Douglas G.

FLORIDA Douglas G. Mann, native of Massachusetts and resident of Venice, Florida passed away on June 7, 2009 at the age of 66, with both his children by his side. Mr. Mann graduated from Hanover High School, Boston University, attended Suffolk Law School and served as Captain in the U.S. Air Force. He was the inventor of a catering steamer and founded Clambake International, the first catering company to provide authentic New England Clambakes throughout the country. Mr. Mann is also recognized as a pioneer in the nutraceutical industry as the creator of the Max product line and its technology and science that has set a standard throughout the industry today. Doug is survived by his daughter Nicole Mann of South Boston, MA, his son Ryan Mann of Buffalo, NY, brother David and his wife Majorie Mann of Buzzards Bay, MA, brother Charles and his wife Leanne Mann of Hanson, MA and sister Sally Mann of Broadalbin, NY. He was predeceased by a sister Nancy Suhre Bingwanger of San Diego, CA and parents H. Gordon and Marion Mann of Hanson, MA. Doug is also survived by many nieces and nephew. PODSEDLY, Mark Robert 6/16/62-11/26/08. Mark died at home in Dover, MA surrounded by family & friends after a 10 year battle against a brain tumor. He is survived by his wife, Melisa Stern & his daughter, Natalie Podsedly. He was the son of Robert & the late Linda Podsedly, brother of Scott Podsedly & brother-in-law of Steven Stern. Mark received his EE from Rochester Institute of Technology & his MBA from Boston College Carroll School of Management. Mark always said, "You can't spell geek without EE!" He travelled the world for 10 years as a product marketing manager for Sun Microsystems. While computers were an important part of his life, his family & friends always came first. He adored Natalie & would hold her in his arms for hours while she slept as an infant. When his friend & caregiver, Rich, was diagnosed with cancer, Mark declared, "We'll fight this together!" Whenever he met a new doctor, nurse or caregiver he always wanted to know about their lives beyond health care. Mark & Melisa also shared a love of "all things Asian." Virginia was born in Boston and graduated from Hyde Park High School. She moved to Quincy in 1955. Education was always very important to her, she volunteered in the Quincy Public Schools for many years. She held several positions on the PTO boards of both Parker Elementary School and North Quincy High School. She was instrumental in reestablishing City-Wide PTO for the City of Quincy in the late 1970's. Virginia was twice awarded the Community Service Award for her contributions to the Quincy Public Schools. She worked as head teller at South Shore Bank at the North Quincy Bank and later at Marina Bay Branch office. She was passionate about politics. A devoted mother and grandmother, who will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. Born in Taunton, Nancy was a graduate of Taunton High School Class of 1981. Nancy was a retired Case Worker for Taunton State Hospital. Nancy enjoyed playing Cribbage, Canoeing, Knitting, Gardening, the Atlantic Fish Club and especially her grandchildren. Nancy was the mother of Alivia and Daniel Sands, both of Taunton. Natalie M (Siwilla) Rocharz, aged 93 years, of Middleboro, died on Fri. June 12, 2009, at her home, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late John Stanley Rocharz Sr., who predeceased her in August of 1989. Born April 27, 1916, in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antonia (Miga) Siwilla. She was educated in Taunton, and had worked as a dress maker, for many years, and later went to Paul Dever School, Taunton, where she was an attendant for more than 20 years. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro. She was a member of the A.A.R.P. and past-member of the A.F.S.C.M.E. Union. She enjoyed polka music and dancing, and will be warmheartedly remembered as a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Survivors include one son; John S Jr. and his wife Elaine Rocharz of Middleboro, one sister; Adella Stanis of Seekonk, one sister-in-law; Helen Killian of Taunton, two grandchildren; John III and his wife Sharon Rocharz of Middleboro, Patricia and her husband Daniel Delaney of Middleboro, four great-grandchildren; John IV and his wife Pam Rocharz of Lakeville, Thomas Rocharz, David Rocharz, and Sarah Delaney, all of Middleboro, one great-great-granddaughter; Paige Rocharz of Lakeville, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. PROVINCETOWN —Frances (Perry) Raymond, 104, the oldest resident of Provincetown, died on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Seashore Point in Provincetown, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Frank Raymond. Born in Provincetown, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Mary (Medeiros) Perry. She graduated from Provincetown High School and went to work for New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. She rose to the position of chief operator and retired in April of 1966 when Provincetown switched from operator connections to the dial system. Frances and her husband owned rental cottages called Skipper Raymond's and Captain Raymond's. She continued to maintain and manage them until very recently. Earlier in her life, she worked as a waitress. For many years, she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club and the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Provincetown. She was also the recipient of the Boston Post Cane, an award started in 1909 by the Boston Post Newspaper and bestowed on the oldest resident of a town over 90 years of age and presented by the board of selectmen. Mrs. Raymond is survived by her niece, Leona Caton and her nephew, Anthony Joseph, both of Provincetown; Avis Kaesleau of Dennis and Doris Westnedge of Pennsylvania; great-nieces, Loretta Alves of North Truro, Janet Francis of Wellfleet, Jane Cavanaugh of East Longmeadow and Wellfleet, Debbie Velozza of Westport, and Shelly Mateus of Wellfleet; and great-nephew, Bruce Caton of Provincetown. She also leaves several other relatives from different generations as well as countless friends. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Peter the Apostle Church, 11 Prince St., Provincetown on Wednesday, June 17, at 10 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter Cemetery. John Christopher Ries, Jr. EAST WEYMOUTH John Christopher Ries Jr., age 81, died peacefully after a brief illness on June 14, 2009 in Plymouth, Ma. where he has been recently residing with his devoted wife of 58 years, Therese. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Ries) Bronzo and her husband Anthony of Hampton, NH, and son, Richard Ries and fiance Sherry Gomes of Plymouth, Ma.; grandchildren Anthony, Christopher, and Catherine Bronzo of Hampton, NH, Richard, Jr. and Kelley Ries of Plymouth, Ma; as well as his half-brother, William Ries of Pagosa Springs, Colorado and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents, John C. and Catherine C. (Lonergan) Ries. John was raised in East Weymouth and educated in town schools, graduating from Weymouth High School in 1946. He is a direct descendant of Edward Bates, the first settler of Weymouth, Alpheus Bates, the first Revolutionary war soldier from Weymouth, and a cousin of Colonel James L. Bates, who led the 12th Massachusetts Regiment at the Battle of Gettysburg. His early employment included the Weymouth Light and Power, Fore River Shipyard, and Quincy Pneumatic Scale. He later took over ownership and operation of the family business, W.E. Ames Leather brokerage, which at the time was one of the few remaining leather businesses in Weymouth. In 1951, John married Therese Boucher, RN of St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada, after she came to the US to provide private duty nursing care to his aunt, Margaret (Lonergan) Coyne of East Weymouth who sustained injuries in an auto accident in Quebec. They raised their two children and lived in East Weymouth until 1983, when they then moved to Marshfield, Ma. John was a caring husband, loving father, and an adored grandfather. In addition to his thorough enjoyment of his family, music, the Red Sox, the South Shore, Cape, and New Hampshire, he will be remembered for his sense of humor and frequent reminiscences of the good ole days. Shirley Ann Crawford (Nelson)

CRAWFORD, Shirley Ann (Nelson) 75, of Huntington Common Drive, died early Saturday morning, June 13, 2009 at her residence following a long illness. She was born in Boston, MA on July 12, 1933, a daughter of Anthony J. Nelson and Doris M. (Neal) Nelson. She was educated locally and graduated from Wilmington High School, Class of 1950. On January 18, 1958, she married the love of her life, Douglas R. Crawford, Sr. Together they enjoyed 45 years of marriage until his death in 2003. Shirley was the consummate homemaker. In addition to raising her family, she enjoyed reading and gardening. One of her favorite things to do during the day was to enjoy a good cup of tea. She was an animal lover, especially of the many dogs she owned throughout the years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul A. Nelson; 2 brothers-in-law, Joseph G. Duffy and Daniel T. Angell, Jr. Survivors include her son, Douglas R. Crawford, Jr. and his wife Katherine M. of Wells; two sisters, Eileen N. Duffy of Reading, MA, and Linda N. Angell of Haverhill, MA; her brother, Neal K. Nelson of North Sutton, NH; her sister-in-law, Mary A. Nelson of North Reading, MA; 3 grandchildren, Courtney, Anthony and Vincent, many nieces & nephews. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer Street, Kennebunk, where a Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk, where she will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband. Sutcliffe, James M.

SOUTH DENNIS —James M. Sutcliffe, of South Dennis, formerly of Newton, died on June 13, 2009, at Epoch of Harwich. He was 97. Mr. Sutcliffe was born and grew up in Newton and graduated from Newton High in 1932, Bridgton Academy in North Bridgton, Maine, in 1933 and Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., in 1938. James was a homebuilder in Newton, where he had built 60 homes. He later worked as a senior bank examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He retired to South Dennis in 1983 and spent winters in Punta Gorda, Fla. He was an active member of the Cape Cod Chapter of the Dartmouth College Alumni and the Golden Age Group at the South Dennis Senior Center. James was married for 62 years to his loving wife the late Marion (Shea) Sutcliffe. He is survived by his daughter, Jill Marion Sutcliffe of South Dennis; granddaughter, Christina B. Gimenez, and great-grandson, Jason R. Gimenez of Oldsmar Fla. He was the last surviving sibling of Grace, Ellis, Thomas, William and Margaret. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, at 1 p.m., in the Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St., NEWTON CENTRE. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Vaughan, Daniel J.

CHATHAM —Daniel J. Vaughan, 87 died at Liberty Commons Rehabilitation &Skilled Care Center in North Chatham on Sunday, June 14, 2009. Born in Shaker Heights, Ohio, on Oct. 20, 1921, he was married to the late Kathryn Ann (Wyman) Vaughan for 50 years. He graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1939, attended Case Western Reserve from 1940-1941 and enlisted in the Army in 1942, where he trained at Aberdeen Proving Ground and graduated from Officer Candidate School as a second lieutenant in 1943. He left the service as a first lieutenant in 1946 after serving at the Frankford Ordinance Depot in Philadelphia, Pa. Moving back to Ohio, Mr. Vaughan worked as an industrial engineer for General Electric in the Lamp Division in Cleveland for 20 years, specializing in long range planning and planning systems. While in Ohio, he was an active member of the Mentor Board of Education from 1957-1966, serving two years as vice president and two years as president. He also was chairman of the Troop Committee for the Mentor Troop 75, Boy Scouts of America. In 1966, Mr. Vaughan moved to White Plains, N.Y., where he worked at General Electric Corporate Headquarters in New York City as the planning manager for the Consumer Products Group, followed by advancement in 1970 to the Corporate Executive Staff as manager of the Management Systems. In 1973, after 27 years of service to General Electric, he took early retirement, moved to West Chatham and established a management consulting business for 12 years, specializing in Management Systems, Strategic Planning and Organization Planning. During the 1970s, Mr. Vaughan also worked for his son, Jon Vaughan, at Yankee Ingenuity in Chatham, refurbishing antique telescopes. In 1980, he opened his own store in Chatham, called The Spyglass, where he specialized in restoring and selling antique nautical instruments, becoming one of the world's largest dealers in antique mounted telescopes. In 1998, he sold his business to his longtime employee, Brad Finch, who subsequently moved the business to Brewster. During his retirement, he traveled in the U.S. and abroad to Turkey, England, the Mediterranean, Panama, and went on safari in Africa, the highlight being a hot air balloon flight over the Serengeti Plains. He is survived by three sons, Jonathan B. Vaughan of East Harwich, James W. Vaughan of Chatham, and David C. Vaughan of Alligator, Miss.; a daughter, Kathleen V. Johnson of South Orleans and Ludlow, Vt.; and granddaughter, Maren B. Johnson of Boston. He is predeceased by his wife, Kathryn (Wyman) Vaughan.
