Alfred R. "Red" Lagace, 62 years old, died on Friday November 21, 2008 in the Brigham and  Womens Hospital, Boston, following a long courageous battle with lung disease.  He was born in Taunton son of the late Roland and Theresa M.R. ( Lambert) Lagace.  He was educated at the former St. Jacques Grammar School and was  1964 graduate of Taunton High School.  He was the loving husband for 39 years of Beatrice M. (Cardin) Lagace.  He was employed as a fork lift operator for Hall Smith-Sysco from 1975 to 1992 until he had to retire after receiving a heart transplant.  He previously worked for Strojny Glass Co in Taunton.  He enjoyed restoring antique automobiles, working around the house that he built with his late father, spending time with his friends, keeping up on the current political events and watching his granddaughter grow.  Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters, Rochelle M. Lagace of East Warwick, RI and Danielle R. Glynn and her husband Josh of Taunton, his special “ pumpkin” his granddaughter Kayla Grace Glynn of Taunton.  He is the brother of Anita Taylor and her husband Ken of Taunton and is the brother in law of Anne Marie Lopes of Berkley, Barbara Devlin and her husband Paul of East Taunton, Leo Cardin and his wife Linda of South Paris, ME, William Cardin and his wife Deborah of East Taunton, Peter Cardin and Edward Cardin both of Taunton.  He is the uncle of several and a very special  friend of Albert “Ty” Courcy of Taunton and Ed Paige of North Dighton. Joy C. Allen, 50, of Worcester died Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Radius Health Care Center in Worcester from complications with cancer. Born May 6, 1958 in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late Grace M. (Hardie) and William A. Allen. Joy attended Burncoat Sr. High School and lived in Worcester and Auburn most of her life. During her working years, she was a nurse's aide and personal care attendant. She grew up as an active member of the Adams Square Congregational Church. Joy is survived and will be dearly missed by her sisters Merrie Allen of Portland, Maine and Beth Allen of Worcester, and her brother Brian Allen and his life partner, Gail Angell of West Boylston, and extended family and friends, and especially her best friend, Michael Meattey. Her family and friends would want you to know that Joy fought to live, was courageous and brave everyday with humor, grit, and determination, against all odds. She was a people-person who enjoyed music and the radio always, connecting and networking with people wherever she went. MIDDLEBORO Noah Marcus Bailey, age 27 years, lifelong resident of Middle- boro, died early Tuesday morning, Nov. 25, 2008, after an automobile accident, in Plympton. Born in Brockton, July 14, 1981, he was a son of Burns Bobby O. and Katherine F. (Letourneau) Bailey of Middleboro. He attended Middleboro schools, and had been employed at the Star convenience store, Mellos Market, Lakeville, for several years. He recently had been serving his apprenticeship for tattooing at the Pushin Ink Tattoo Parlor, in Middleboro center. He was an avid sports card collector and will be remembered as having a great knowledge of all sports. His passion was tattoo artistry and he took great pride in his work. He will be warm-heartedly remembered as a devoted son, brother, nephew, good friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his parents, one sister, Alisha F. Bailey of Middleboro; his beloved paternal grandmother, Carol and her husband Raymond Lemieux of Middleboro; many special aunts and uncles, including, Rachel and her husband Craig Borus of Taunton; and many cousins. BANNISTER, Ruth Faxon 77, of Boothbay Harbor and Squirrel Island, ME, died on Sunday, November 23 at a Portland, Maine hospital. She was born in Montclair, NJ, on August 5, 1931 the daughter of Lemuel and Mary Faxon Bannister. She attended Montclair schools and graduated from Colby Junior College in NH. She was employed as a medical secretary in Montclair. Ruth was a life long summer resident of Squirrel Island, ME and considered it her home. She was an active sailor and also spent long hours in her power boat the "Tabasco". In 2001 she moved to St. Andrews Village in Boothbay Harbor to be closer to her dear Island. While in Boothbay Harbor she was a member of the Congregational Church and an active worker at its Food Pantry. She also served for many years on the Squirrel Island Association and on the Chapel Committee. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Lemuel and Henry. Norma M. Belliveau of Fitchburg; 94 Fitchburg Norma M. (LeBlanc) Belliveau, 94, died Monday, November 24, 2008 at the Sterling Health Care Center, Sterling. She was the widow of Raymond M. Belliveau who died in December 1996. Mrs. Belliveau was born in River Hebert, Nova Scotia, Canada, December 19, 1913, a daughter of Leon and Alice (Arsenault) LeBlanc and resided in Fitchburg for much of her life. For over 50 years Mrs. Belliveau, with her husband owned and operated the Belliveau Fabric and Drapery Shop in Fitchburg, retiring in 1996. She was a longtime active member of the Madonna of the Holy Rosary Church in Fitchburg. She is survived by her son and daughter in law; Paul R. and Leslie Friend Belliveau, two daughters; Joan Batura and Sherry Cosmo both of Florida, her sister; Theresa Maki of Florida. She also leaves 18 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Leon LeBlanc of Fitchburg. She was born in Norwell, daughter of the late Francis and Ann (Damon) Hiram, and had lived most of her life as a Rockland resident. She was a loving mother and grandmother and devoted all of her time to raising her family. Wife of the late Kenneth S. Berryman Sr., she is survived by her children, George R. Berryman of Norwood, Elaine E. LaRonde of North Carolina, Charles Berryman of Lakeville, Fred S. Berryman of Plymouth, Diane M. Kieffer of Rockland, Linda A. Vail of Hanson, Thomas B. BLOOM, Dr. Lee Benjamin Brown Age 67, passed away in Los Angeles early Nov. 22, 2008, from melanoma. He was born December 6, 1940 in Somerville, MA, the son of Dr. Phillip and Ann Bloom. Dr. Bloom attended school at Browne & Nichols College at the University of Chicago and medical school at Tulane University. Upon graduating from medical school, he married his wife Tobie, whom he met in New Orleans. The two moved to NC, where Dr. Bloom did his internship in pediatric medicine at Duke University, and then on to Los Angeles to do his psychiatric residency at UCLA. After completing his residency, Dr. Bloom served as a psychiatrist in the United States Air Force, stationed at Hickam Air Force Base in Hawaii, and then volunteered for duty in Guam, where he treated U.S. pilots returning from bombing missions during the Vietnam War. After his service he returned to Los Angeles with his family, where he dedicated his professional life to treating chemical dependency and dual diagnosis. Dr. Bloom served as the Medical Director of several prominent psychiatric hospitals, before founding the Pasadena Recovery Center. In PRC, Dr. Bloom nurtured a kind and caring treatment center, treatment the way he had always dreamed of. Dr. Bloom's love of people led him on a journey filled with friends, fun and happiness. He was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, doctor and friend. Dr. Bloom lived like there was no tomorrow, danced like nobody was watching, sang like nobody was listening, loved like he would never be hurt and spoke from the heart to be heard. Dr. Bloom is survived by his loving wife Tobie, son Michael Bloom (Clarice), daughter Alison Triessl (Michael), grandchildren Jacob, Carly, Tyler and Jonathan, brother Alan Bloom (Shelley), and many, many friends, family, and patients who will miss him greatly. James D. "Jim" Broquist, 68, of 31 South Stowell St., formerly of 1050 Main St., born December 23, 1939, a longtime employee of Worcester State Hospital, died Sunday November 23 after a short illness at home with his loved ones. He was predeceased by his father, David S. Broquist in 1959, his mother, Elizabeth "Liz" (Tierney) Broquist in 2000, his brother, Robert E. Broquist in 1997, all of Worcester, and his sister, Elizabeth "Sue" Broquist Denham of Webster in 2005. He leaves his son, James A. Broquist of Shrewsbury; his longtime partner and best friend, Paula A. Miller of Worcester; two stepchildren, Jody Miller and her spouse, Larry Peak of Worcester and Joseph Miller, Jr., and his wife Lianne of Auburn; seven grandchildren, Larry and Taylor Peak, Joseph III, Alyssa, Richie, Jake and Joel Miller all of Massachusetts and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Broquist worked at Worcester State Hospital for 38 years as a personal care attendant before retiring in 1997. He was a member of St. John's Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 4311. He grew up in Worcester and lived on Grafton Hill most of his life. He had a great sense of humor and a wonderful personality, a beautiful smile and a heart of gold. He loved country music and his grandchildren dearly. He loved hanging out with his friends and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. Frank A. Cordio enjoyed carpentry and woodworking; 80 Lunenburg Frank A. Cordio, 80, of Lunenburg, died Wednesday in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after an illness. He was born on May 24,1928 in Fitchburg, the son of Antonio and Winifred (Lothrop) Cordio and lived most of his life in Lunenburg. Frank was a truck driver for over 45 years and retired from Starr Container in 1995. He served in the Navy during WWII. He served as an Auxiliary police officer for the town of Lunenburg ,he was a member of the Teamsters Local 170, and a member of the Lunenburg Police Relief Association and donated his time for many years with their ham and bean dinners to benefit the dept. and it's charity's. He also enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. He was an avid Red Sox fan. Mr. Cordio is survived by his wife of 60 years Edna (Barber) Cordio; his son James F. Cordio and his wife Annmarie of Lunenburg; his daughter Sandra A. and her husband Charles Gallant of Lunenburg; two brothers, Louis Cordio and Richard Cordio, both of Fitchburg; three sisters Maryetta Palmer of Fitchburg, Louise Smith in Tuscon AZ and Gloria Koski of East Hartford, Ct. DesLAURIERS, Loraine Elizabeth (Cella) Of 2 Hilltop Rd., Longmeadow, died peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Cambridge, Mass., she was the daughter of the late James & Alice (Plagemann) Cella. She was honored in Boston in 1942 when she won the Boston Herald Spelling Bee. She graduated in the top ten of 400 graduates from the Dorchester High School for Girls and worked at New England Life Insurance & New England Merchants National Bank in Boston as an administrative assistant. She later worked as an assistant to the manager of Fortune Magazine and the late cartoonist, Al Capp. After moving to Longmeadow she was the executive secretary to the V.P. of sales at Titeflex, Inc. Loraine had a gift for language. Whether composing poetry, editing text, writing creatively for work, or simply corresponding with friends, she was in her element. She had been the founding writer-editor of the Longmeadow School Committee Newsletter, a founding reporter for the Longmeadow News; founding Associate Editor of Springfield Magazine, and writer-editor for the Springfield Museum of Fine Arts Permanent European Galleries brochures. She authored a feature article in Today's Health Magazine, a national publication. Her career also embraced public-relations writing for Grafiks, Inc., Park-Main Travel Agency, Jeremy Lord, Inc., WestBank, Raytech, Inc., John Larson, M.D., and R.K. Burke, M.D. She was a past member of the Great Books Foundation, the Advertising Club of Springfield, The American Medical Writers' Association and the International Women's Writing Group. She was the community coordinator for public television in Longmeadow. She was a member of the Valley District Dental Women's Auxiliary and the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Wilbraham Players Theater Group and a parishioner at St. Mary's and member of the St. Mary's Guild. An avid tennis player, she was a long-time member of the Field Club. Loraine loved to travel, visiting Europe, Greece, the Caribbean, Canada, and much of the United States. She was an alumna of Boston University and an Ada Comstock Scholar at Smith College. She also took writing courses locally at Western New England College and The College of Our Lady of the Elms. She volunteered for the Boston American Red Cross blood donor program, the Brightside Shelter for Children, and WGBY Channel 57. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Dr. Richard J. DesLauriers of Longmeadow, son Richard C. of Franklin and his wife Christine (McGarry) and grandson Stephen, son David of Boston, and daughter Noelle Roberts of Granville and son-in-law, Dr. L. Willis Roberts. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Marguerite Morin, her sister and brother-in-law Pauline and Richard Zambarano, and her brother-in-law Pierre DesLauriers, as well as 11 nieces and nephews and lifelong friends Marie d'Eon and Toula Tuckerman. Loraine's grace and indomitable spirit will be fondly remembered by those whose lives she touched. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of Loraine's caregivers. Claire M. Dillon SCITUATE Claire M. (Linnehan) Dillon, 59, of Scituate died on November 22 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Cambridge, MA, Claire lived most of her life on the South Shore. A 1967 graduate of Scituate High School, she continued her education at Perry Normal School in Boston and earned her degree at the University of Maine in Farmington. Mrs. Dillon was a teacher at Scituates Central and Jenkins Elementary Schools in the 1970s. After the birth of her second child, she founded and directed The Crayon Box day care center in Marshfield in the 1980s. She later taught at Marshfields Head Start and Chapter 1 programs, St. Lukes Day Care Center in Scituate, and Kathy Corrigans Gymnastic School day care center in Rockland. Additionally, Claire was a dispatcher for the Scituate Fire Department and a licensed real estate agent at Exit Realty in Stoughton. Claire loved the South Shore beaches. One of her most cherished activities was taking long walks to the Scituate Lighthouse. She also enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening, homemaking, and singing. She was a former member or the Sweet Adelines and the St. Mary of the Nativity Church choir. Claire is fondly remembered for always volunteering to help others in times of need. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. Claire was the daughter of Ruth Linnehan and the late Leonard Linnehan of Scituate. She leaves her husband, Dennis, of Weymouth; a son, James, of Weymouth; and a daughter, Maureen, of Sacramento, California. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Barbara Dillon of Marshfield; brothers David and his wife Sari of New York; Paul and his wife Genevieve of New York; James and his wife Helen of West Roxbury; sisters Mary Linnehan Dissette and her husband Michael of Newburyport; Joan Linnehan of Scituate, Kathleen Linnehan Rosenbaum and her husband Dr. Joel Rosenbaum of Hull; several nieces and nephews, and many loving cousins. Dr. Edmond Patrick Donlan of Fitchburg; 76 Fitchburg Dr. Edmond Patrick Donlan, 76, of Fitchburg and formerly of West Roxbury, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2008 at the Highlands in Fitchburg surrounded by his beloved family. Ed was born on May 6, 1932 to Edmond J. and Rosella (Kenny) Donlan. He graduated from Boston College High School in 1950, Boston College in 1954 and achieved various other degrees during his lifetime, to include a Doctorate in Educational Administration, also from Boston College. Ed dedicated over thirty years of his life to education and retired as the superintendent of schools for the North Middlesex Regional School District. Following his retirement, Ed worked in real estate and continued teaching at Mount Wachusett Community College, Fisher Junior College and Fitchburg State College. Dr. Donlan was a devoted family man, who had a passion for the Catholic faith, local sports and the performing arts. In his earlier years, he coached and was a Scout Master for his children. Ed was very actively involved as a performer in numerous local theatre and singing groups. He was an avid Boston College football and basketball fan, a season ticket holder for close to fifty years. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Helen Hogan Donlan of Fitchburg, formerly of Roslindale, MA; and eight of his children, Paul Donlan and his wife Janel of South Boston, Lynn Dubinsky and her husband Robert of Hopkinton, Kevin Donlan and his wife Kathy of Fall River, Denise Donlan of Methuen, Dennis Donlan and his wife Beth of Leominster, Sean Donlan and his wife Kristen of Haddam, CT, Brendan Donlan of Fitchburg, and Erin Donlan Schubmehl and her husband Michael of Ashburnham.   Mrs. Doris B. (Bryant) Bagdon, of Marlborough and formerly of Taunton and Plymouth, died Saturday, November 22 in Bolton Manor, Marlborough following a lengthy illness.  She was the wife of the late Paul S. Bagdon.  She was born 88 years ago in Canton, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Eva M. (Brodeur) Bryant. She was educated in Sharon and had been a Taunton resident for 13 years before moving to Marlborough a year ago.  She had previously resided in Cedarville and Brockton.    Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Bagdon had been employed as a machine operator for Raytheon Corp. in Brockton and Quincy for 31 years.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a communicant of the former St. Jacques Church in Taunton. Marion E. Dower BROCKTON Marion E. (Nash) Dower, age 83 years, passed away Monday, at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born May 29, 1925, in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Mildred Nash Wilbur and Leon R. Nash. A lifelong resident of Brockton, she worked as a stitcher for Nardi Sportswear of Brockton and for many years at the Roma Caf, also of Brockton. Marion was also a member of the Conte Memorial Club of Brockton. She was very proud of her Swedish heritage and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brockton. She is survived by a son, Thomas P. Dower of Wareham; a daughter, Linda A. Dower of Raynham; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. A son, Edward J. Normand W. Dubois Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather Lowell Normand W. Dubois, 65, the beloved husband of Rejeanne R. (Bernier) Dubois, passed away Sunday morning, November 23, 2008 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Normand was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on July 6, 1943, a son of the late Philibert and Marie Rose (Ferland) Dubois. He attended school in Maine, and was a graduate of St. Dominic's High School in Lewiston. Mr. Dubois was a United States Marine, honorably discharged following his service during the Vietnam War. Normand was a devoted spouse to his wife Rejeanne, celebrating their 39th wedding anniversary on August 30th. He was a beloved father of five wonderful children. Normand was an extremely generous man who would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He was a strong family man who cherished his time with his rambunctious grandchildren and siblings. As someone who loved fishing, boating, the beach, and camping, Normand thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. He was also a talented woodworker. Mr. Dubois was a past member of the Sacred Heart Men's Club and the Knights of Columbus. She worked at Eureka Manufacturing in Norton for over 20 years, retiring in 2001. A communicant of St. Joseph Church in Taunton. Oscar Gerlach of Hudson, NH Hudson, NH On November 23rd Oscar Frederick Gerlach passes away quietly after losing his length battle with Alzheimer's disease. He had been a resident at Fairview Nursing Facility, in Hudson since April 2008. Mr. Gerlach was born on January 5, 1922 in Providence, RI. He served several years in the Marine Corps during WWII and received an Honorable Discharge. Oscar was also one of the first founding officers of the Littleton V.F.W., in which he took great pride in organizing. He moved to Pepperell with his wife Kay and children in 1952. He worked as a master carpenter for John Fredricks while also volunteering on the Pepperell Fire Department. His career soon changed course when he took a position on the Pepperell Police Department under the leadership of John Pelletier. In 1971, Oscar moved to Merrimack, NH to continue his professional career with Chief Pelletier. After further education and training at the NH State Police Academy, Oscar quickly achieved the position of Deputy Chief in which he received many commendations for his performance and leadership. He was affectionately given the nickname of "The Big O" by his peers and fellow officers. He also served as Merrimack's Chief Prosecutor during his tenure until his retirement to Florida in 1986. He is survived by his wife Kathleen, with whom he would have celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary this week on November 28, 2008. Kathleen is also a resident at Fairview Nursing Facility and was by his side during his last hours. He leaves behind seven children, Kathleen Razzaboni of Pepperell, Candace Casey of Maynard, Michael Gerlach on Manchester, NH, Corrine Adamskyof Stow MA, Lillian Merlero of Lompoc, CA, Cynthia Mohney of Port Orange, FL and Matthew Gerlach. Rose M. (Girardi) Girouard, 78, of 50 Shrewsbury St. passed away Sunday, November 23rd in St. Vincent Hospital with her family by her side. Rose is survived by her cherished children, Michael R. Richard A. Haley, Jr. WEYMOUTH Richard A. Haley, Jr., a retired AT&T employee and avid sailor, died at his home in North Weymouth on Monday, November 24, 2008. He was 79 years of age. Born, raised and educated in Brockton, he had lived in Weymouth for 48 years. Mr. Haley served in the US Army during the Korean War. A graduate of Wentworth Institute, he had worked as a supervisor of longlines at AT&T for 28 years before his retirement. He was an active member of the South Shore Yacht Club and started their junior sailing program. MARSHFIELD Estelle Hutchinson, of Duxbury and Marshfield, died Nov. 24, 2008. She was 98 years old. Estelle was raised and educated in Quincy. She married Arthur Robert Sr. on June 29, 1935, and they moved to Duxbury in 1938. Estelle was involved in the Webster Grange. She was a longtime member of the High Street United Methodist Church in Pembroke, where she served as organist and choir director. She was an honorary life member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also actively involved with the Duxbury Senior Center. She had lived at Tea Rock Gardens in Marshfield for over 20 years. NORFOLK Mary Katapodis, 87, of Norfolk died on Nov. 21, 2008, in Caritas-Norwood Hospital in Norwood. She was the beloved widow of the late George Katapodis, who died in 1992. Born in Lowell, on April 11, 1921, she was a loving daughter of the late Spios and Catherine Spyropoulos. She was educated in the Lowell public schools. She went on to serve in the United States Army during World War II, serving proudly at Fort Oglethorpe in Georgia. She attained the rank of sergeant. A Norfolk resident since the mid 1950s, she had worked at the former Norfolk Pharmacy, and as a postal clerk in the Norfolk Post Office. She enjoyed doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, and liked to play bingo and board games. Mrs. Katapodis also loved to make things for family and friends by knitting and doing needlepoint. She was the loving mother of George G. Katapodis of Wrentham, and Donna E. Barnes of Medway; the dear sister of Esther Anton of Peabody and Frieda Hall of Waterbury, Conn.; and the devoted grandmother of five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Muriel W. Kelly BRAINTREE Muriel W. (Woodman) Kelly, 96 years of age, passed away at Quincy Medical Center on Monday, November 24, 2008. She was born in Boston and was a long time Braintree resident. She was a former secretary for New England Telephone Company, retiring in 1970. At Emmanuel Church, she was a member of St. Marys Guild and had participated in Thrift Shop activities for many years. She had worked on the Christmas fairs and rummage sales at the Church, and was one of the oldest members of Emmanuel Parish. She was a member of the Puritan Bridge Club in Braintree. Muriel enjoyed knitting and crocheting and had made many pairs of gloves for homeless persons. Muriel was the wife of the late Edward B. Kelly and the devoted mother of Michael D. Kelly and Stephen Edward Kelly married to Cindy Kelly, all of Braintree. She is the loving grandmother of Matthew E. Kelly married to Sarabeth Kelly of Weymouth, Patrick E. Owen B. Kilcoyne, Jr., 74, educator, coach, and mentor, died Monday, November 24, 2008 in UMass Memorial Hospital - University Campus, Worcester, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Marion I. (Sprague) Kilcoyne, with whom he celebrated fifty years of marriage last January. He leaves five sons: Brian T. Kilcoyne of Shrewsbury, Gary O. Kilcoyne and his wife, Jennifer of Rutland, David M. Kilcoyne of Worcester, Michael J. Kilcoyne of Boylston, and Sean T. Kilcoyne and his wife, Anne Marie of West Boylston; two daughters, Debra L. Germain and her husband, Paul of West Boylston, and Kimberly E. Granger and her husband, Colin of Spencer; a daughter-in-law, Diane M. Kilcoyne of Clinton; 13 Grandchildren: Amy, Erin, Meghan, Ryan, Katie, Sean, Matthew, Cory, Kelly, Kayla, Sarah, Lily, and Owen; a sister, Frances Fallon of Boylston; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Kevin F. Kilcoyne, who died in 2004, and a brother, Roderick Kilcoyne. Owen was born in Clinton, the son of Owen B. and Doris (Seymour) Kilcoyne. A graduate of Clinton High School, he attended the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, for two years on a football scholarship, playing both football and baseball, and earned a bachelor's degree from Fitchburg State College. He was a US Army Veteran stationed in Alaska. A teacher and coach whose career spanned more than fifty years, Owen taught at Hudson Catholic High School, where, in 1960, he established the Athletic program, and began his varsity football coaching journey. Over the years, he coached teams at Clinton High School, Framingham North High School, and Ayer High School where he first coached a team to Super Bowl victory. His Ayer teams were featured in Sports Illustrated Magazine. Over his career three of his former players went on to play in the National Football League. Owen eventually settled at St. Peter-Marian High School, where he continued to coach in his semi-retirement. During his twenty years at St. Peter-Marian, Owen led his teams to great success, winning five consecutive High School Super Bowl Championships, a state record. With 258 wins, 160 losses, and 8 ties, Owen was recognized for his achievements, as one of the top ten winningest coaches in the state. He was inducted into many halls of fame, including the Massachusetts Football Coaches Hall of Fame, the Hudson Catholic High School Coach's Hall of Fame, the Galaxy of Stars, in 2006, and just this month, the St. Peter- Marian Hall of Fame. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Clinton, the Clinton Council Knights of Columbus, Clinton Lodge of Elks, and the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association, where he served as an executive board member. In 1980, he was honored by the Lowell Sun as Coach of the Year; and in 1981 and 1991, as the Massachusetts Shriner's Coach. EASTON Sally Greenleaf (Currier) King, 93, of North Easton, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, in Stoughton, after a long struggle with Alzheimers Disease. She was the widow of Robert D. King. Born Feb. 2, 1915, in Lancaster, N.H, she was a daughter of Earle Dan and Lucy Katherine (Stockwell) Currier, a direct descendant of the founders of the town. Sally met her husband when both were students at the Boston University School of Music. She taught music in the public schools of Rangeley, Maine, New Britain, Conn., and Wakefield. She and her husband operated the Robert King Music Company, publisher and mail-order retailer of music for brass instruments, from their home in North Easton, for 50 years. A violinist, violist and organist, she played in the Brockton Symphony and was organist and choir director at Unity Church in North Easton. She leaves two daughters, Judith Drake King of Farmington, Conn., and Nancy Page King of Cambridge; a son-in-law, Stephen Michael Gryc of Farmington, Conn.; a grandson, William Edward Gryc and his wife Cary Leung of Atlanta, Ga.; and a sister, Polly Noble (Currier) Berry of Brookfield, N.H. Pearl Kisly enjoyed traveling, crocheting & dancing; 89 Lowell Pearl A. (Trudeau), a resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, beloved wife of the late Frank Kisly, died Monday November 24, 2008 at the Saints Medical Center. She was 89. Born in Nashua, NH on January 15, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Agnes (Ouellette) Trudeau. Pearl had lived in North Chelmsford for many years, and had been a resident of Lowell for over 30 years. In earlier years Pearl was employed as a stitcher, she retired from the former Sanders Corporation as a secretary. She was a communicant of St. Michael Church, and had assisted with the religious education program there. Pearl was also a member of the East End Club Ladies Auxiliary, the Lowell Senior Citizens, and Community Family in Lowell. She enjoyed traveling with the Lowell Senior Citizen Club, enjoyed crocheting and made afghans for many people, also passionately enjoyed dancing. Pearl will be remembered for the ready smile on her face, her generosity of spirit, the love of family, friends, neighbors, and all children in her heart and the love of God in her soul. Survivors include a son, Paul Kisly of Lowell; a sister Therese Zolkos of FL; a brother in law Edward Beaupre of Reading; a sister in law Lillian Trudeau of Fl; many loving nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends and neighbors. Arnold A. Kramer, 78, of 111 Brigham St., Hudson died on Monday, Nov. 24th in UMass Memorial Healthcare. He leaves his wife, Barrie (Jernberg) Coontz Kramer; two sons: Alex R. Kramer and his fiancé Kristen of Albany, NY and David H. Kramer and his wife Lindsey of Sudbury; two step-sons: Kris Coontz and his wife Lisa and Thad Coontz, both of Pasadena, CA; his sister-in-law, Miriam Kramer of Framingham; three grandchildren: Max, William and Greta Coontz; his lifelong best friend, Marshall Silverman of Worcester; and by many additional extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Roz (Shore) Kramer; his sister, Ronda Kramer and by his brother, Lester Kramer. He was born in Worcester and resided there for many years, the son of Harry and Anna (Morochnick) Kramer. He lived in Sudbury for 25 years before moving to Hudson in 2000. He graduated from Classical High School in 1948 and from M.I.T. in 1954. He was very active in both of these class reunion committees throughout all these years. He served as a captain in the Korean War and he later retired from the active army reserves as a Lt. Colonel. In 1954, he joined his father and his brother as a principal in Mechanics Furniture Manufacturers and Lark Sales on Shrewsbury St. in Worcester. He was a member of Temple Beth El in Sudbury and for many years, the Beth Israel Synagogue in Worcester. He was a member of Level Lodge of Masons, the Worcester Historical Society, The Harvard Learning in Retirement Institute and was a reserve driver for the Sudbury Senior Center. LEBRUN, Ann 70, of Methuen, died peacefully after a brief illness Monday November 24, 2008 at home with her family by her side. Ann was born in Lawrence on July 12, 1938; the daughter of William and Florence Bourgeois. Ann dedicated her energy to raising her two loving sons, David and Mark. Ann worked as an office manager in the construction industry including Methuen Construction and Albanese Brothers. Ann's devotion, passion and faith brought her naturally into leadership and she had a strong dedication to all she believed; Faith United Methodist Church and then Christ United Methodist Church in Lawrence. In support to her husband of 52 years, Ann was a leader of the National Dystonia Foundation Support Groups. Ann's strong faith at her church naturally lead to co-founding the Children's Center in Methuen, eventually to become an integral member of the Board of Directors at the Children's Center. From her artistic side, Ann was an avid and talented quilter. She, again, used her drive, passion and natural leadership to help support her interests in the church and the Children's Center with her own quilts and organizing community quilting to benefit those in need. Ann also loved to travel and see new places such as cruising down the Mississippi River aboard the Delta Queen, a famous cruising paddle boat. Ann is survived by her loving husband Bob, her eldest son and daughter-in-law David and Joanne of Newburyport, MA and youngest son and daughter-in-law Mark and Jan of Lowell, MA; her brother and sister-in-law Frederick and Margaret Bourgeois and son Jonathan, all of Chelmsford, MA, and her adored grandchildren Andrew, Karen and Sean. Ann was survived by many loving friends and was admired by all those she touched. She was a mother to a large extended family; everyone was welcome as family in her home.       Mrs. Mary L. (Barros) Goulart, of this city died Thursday, November 20 at her resi- dence surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer.  She was the wife of Antonio P. Goulart.  She was born 67 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late William and Geneva (Silveira) Brodie.  She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident.  Prior to her illness, she had been employed as a Certified Nurse’s Aide at Marion Manor for 5 years.  She had previously been em- ployed at Longmeadow of Taunton and at the Paul A. Dever State School for a num- ber of years.  Mrs. Goulart also taught english to portuguese speaking students at the Martin Middle School in East Taunton.  She enjoyed playing piano, crosstitching, baking and spending time with her family.  She was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church. McMORROW, John P. Age 82, of Boston, formerly of Wellesley, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center, Boston. Born in Dorchester, MA the son of Philip and Theresa (Murphy) McMorrow. John graduated from Boston Latin High School in 1943 and Harvard College in 1948. He later received a Master of Arts degree from Harvard and a Master of Education degree from Boston College. His college years were interrupted with service in the Navy from 1944-1946 which took him to the Far East. Returning to civilian life, he taught English at Boston Latin School. John followed his father, Philip into political life when he became the state representative in ward 16, Dorchester and chairman of the Boston school committee. His father served in the house from 1939 to 1946. As deputy mayor of Boston under the administration of John F. Collins he had the opportunity to meet many dignitaries and most fondly recalled his conversations with John F. Kennedy. He later held the position of administrator at the Boston Redevelopment Authority from which he retired. John was predeceased by his parents, a sister Catherine M. Miller and niece Anne T. Streeter. He is survived by his sister Ruth M. Lynch of Boston and niece Jean Doane of Maine. Vernon P. Miller of Leominster; 86 Leominster Vernon P. "Pete" Miller, 86, of Leominster, died Sunday, November 23, 2008 in Sterling Healthcare, Sterling, after an illness. He was born in Leominster on May 1, 1922, the son of the late Leo J. and the late Ida (Albert) Miller. He served during WWII in the Navy from October 1942 to December 1945 attaining the rank of Seaman 1st Class. He was a retired Firefighter, employed by the City Of Leominster for 30 years serving on Engine #2 as Driver/Operator. Mr. Miller began his firefighting career on March 1, 1949 and retired December 31, 1977. He was president of the Leominster Firefighters Relief Association in 1969. Mr. Miller was on the 1947 Dodge Brush truck when it was hit by a train on Battles St. in Leominster on September 2, 1953. Mr. Miller was the organizer of Boy Scouts of America Troops 477 and 18. He was a communicant of St. Cecilia's church, a member of the Boy Scouts of America, the Leominster Eagles and the Disabled American Veterans. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, hiking and camping. He enjoyed tinkering with everything. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Theresa M. (Nault) Miller; three daughters, Elaine Archambeault of Fitchburg, Carol Geier and husband Rick of Winchendon, Denise Prinsen and husband Alan of Northbridge; one son, Paul Miller and wife Cheryl of Rindge, NH; one brother, Leo Miller of Leominster; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Joseph F. Mrozinski, Jr., 55, of 22 Cardinal Dr., died Monday, November 24 in UMASS /Healthcare in Worcester after an illness. She went on to Carney Hospital School of Nursing and worked at Beth Israel Hospital for 44 years, retiring in 1994 as a certified nurse anesthetist. At the time of her retirement there was a party held in her honor at the Boston Harbor Hotel. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Parish where she was a member of the Women's Sodality and she supported many charitable causes, including Oxfam America, the Christian Foundation for Children and the Humane Society. She was an avid photographer who never refused an opportunity for a good shot and a member of the South Shore Camera Club. Jane loved to travel and especially enjoyed her trips to Ireland, Spain, Alaska, Jamaica and an African safari. O'CONNOR, Margaret W. 99, died Oct. 30 at the Royal Megansett Nursing Home. Born in Watertown, raised and educated there. Margaret was a W.W. II Veteran of the U.S. Navy Corps. Myrtle R. Perrico BELLINGHAM Myrtle R. (Berg) Perrico, 81, of Bellingham, passed away peacefully on Nov. 23, 2008, at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge, with family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Victor R. Perrico. S he was born in Boston, Nov. 18, 1927, the daughter of the late Frederick and Helena (Glysberg) Berg. She was the loving mother of David D. Perrico and his wife, Margaret Holden, of Sedona, Ariz., and Brian V. Perrico of Bellingham, and leaves her beloved dog, Cocoa. She also leaves her nieces, Sylvia Hogarth of Daytona, Fla., and Sandra Neely of Bellingham; her nephews, Gordon Harvey of Broussard, La., and Roger Harvey of Hopedale. She was also the sister of the late Helen Harvey and aunt of the late Patricia Bianchi. A resident of Bellingham for 55 years, and formerly of Mendon and Woonsocket, R.I., Mrs. Perrico worked in the cafeteria for Bellingham Schools for 25 years, until retiring in 1994. In the 1970s, Mrs. Perrico, together with her friend, Alice Jette, owned and operated The Needle and Thread Shop in Bellingham. She was on the Board of Bellingham Elder Services and active in the Bellingham Senior Center. She was a communicant of St. Blaise Church and enjoyed working the church bazaars, knitting, crocheting, sewing, painting, bingo, traveling and trips to the casinos. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed. STAPLES, Minn. John Peter Righini, 90, passed away Nov. 20, 2008, at Lakewood Health Care Center, in Staples. He was preceded in death by his wife, Adeline, in January 2006. Born Sept. 22, 1918, in Bridgewater, Mass., he was a son of the late Henry and Frances (Pini) Righini. John served in the U.S. Army from January 1942 through March 1945. He was united in marriage with Adeline Raposa on March 27, 1943, in East Taunton, Mass. While in Massachusetts, he was a member of the Bridgewater VFW and Eagles Club. He was currently a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples. He worked for many years in the shoe industry. After retiring in 1982, he relocated to Minnesota to be close to his family. John enjoyed cooking, gardening, telling stories, riding with Jim in the logging truck and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Steven of Houston; daughter, Deborah Alexander of Staples; grandchildren, Jason (Lisa) Alexander of Nisswa, Wade Alexander and Ryan Alexander, both of Leader; great-granddaughter, Lindsey Alexander of Staples; and former son-in-law, James Alexander of Leader. A Mass of Christian burial was held Wednesday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with the Rev. Scott Wittkop as celebrant. Interment will be at a later date. Robert J. Medas, of Clifton Street, Attleboro, died on Saturday hours following his 87th birthday. Husband of the late Mildred Esther (Hagar) Medas. Born in Taunton on November 21, 1921, he was a son of the late Manuel and Rose (DeMoura) Medas.  He was raised and educated in Taunton where he was a member of the class of 1940. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. From 1951 – 1959 he served as the foreman of the former Plastic Coated Products Company in Attleboro. Mr. Medas began his employment with the former ANOX Corporation before it became the Hillsinger Corporation that was also doing business as the Evans Case Company, in Plainville.  He was a manufacturing foreman for the firm for almost 30 years prior to his retirement in 1988.  He was a longtime member of the Ezekiel Bates Lodge of Masons A.F. & A.M. in Attleboro; served as chairman of the Advisory Council for the Order of DeMolay; the Nava Grotto – M.O.V.P.E.R. in Attleboro; the Balfour Coin and Stamp Club in Attleboro and the Attleboro Power Squadron. Mr. Medas was an active member of Murray Unitarian Universalist Church in Attleboro where he served on a number of committees and as the church treasurer. He leaves a daughter: Donna J. Medas Patton and her husband, Max J. Patton, of Exeter, Rhode Island; a grandson: Jared Patton of Exeter, Rhode Island; a sister: Dorothy Lakin and her husband, Lloyd Lakin, of Raynham; his companion: Mae E. Barnes of North Attleboro; two sisters-in-law: Kathy S. SISTER MARY AGATHA RUHE, CDP Sister of Divine Providence, of Kingston, died Nov. 23. She was 86. born Mar. 4, 1922. She was the daughter of Leonard and Mary (Huppertz) Ruhe. She was the sister of the late Marie, Albert, Donald, and Edward. She is survived by a niece Judi Frederick and her husband Bob of Bridgewater, and 13 other nieces and nephews. Sr. Mary Agatha entered the Community on Nov. 1 1942, and celebrated 66 years of her religious life. She spent three of her earliest years ministering in food service in Pittsburgh at All Saints, Etna. In 1946, she came to cook at the Divine Word Missionaries in Duxbury and later served at Cardinal O'Connell seminary in Jamaica Plain. She served at both Sacred Heart Schools and summers at Camp Mishannock. Sr. Mary Agatha became well known for her outreach to those in need, and she received the Commonworks Award for her service at a regional homeless shelter. In 1999, she served in St. Helen Parish, MS., as a Pastoral Associate. John Schiavone lifelong resident of Billerica; 54 Billerica John "Johnny" Schiavone died, following a courageous battle with cancer, Monday, November 24, 2008 at his home in Billerica with his devoted brother, Stephen, at his side. He was born in Medford, June 8, 1954, the son of Theresa Tigges of Burlington and the late Stephen J. Schiavone. Johnny, a lifelong resident of Billerica, was a welder by trade. William E. Seyfried Sr. MANSFIELD William E. Seyfried Sr., 85, recently of Willow Crossing in Mansfield, and a former longtime resident of Brockton, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Epoch of Sharon. He was the beloved husband of the late Anne M. (McGuire) Seyfried, who passed away in 1984. Born in Rochester, N.Y., Aug. 24, 1923, he was a son of the late Gustave and Helen (Fogarty) Seyfried. He grew up and was educated in New York City. Upon graduating from Bayside High School in Queens, N.Y., he entered the U.S. Merchant Marines, proudly serving his country during World War II. Upon being discharged from the service, he started painting homes and opened his own paint store. Mr. Seyfried was the retired president and founder of Capeway Paints, Inc., in Brockton, a company he operated for 20 years before retiring. He had formerly been employed as chief manager of the Pergement Paint Co. on Long Island, N.Y., and later was a sales manager for the Benjamin Moore Paint Co. A former communicant of St. Edwards Church in Brockton, Bill was a member of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Alumni Association at Kings Point. He was a talented artist who enjoyed picture painting, playing golf and traveling. He served as a golf ranger at the Cape Arundal Golf Course. Bill was a big supporter of the Republican Party and had the pleasure of personally meeting George H. Bush and George W. Bush. Prior to living in Mansfield for the past year, he was a former 40-year resident of Brockton. He is survived by his devoted children, Thomas N. Seyfried and his wife Karen of Foxboro, William E. Seyfried Jr. and his wife Carol of St. Paul, Minnesota and Helen Anne McCarthy and her husband Joseph of Mansfield. He was the loving grandfather of Melissa, Nicholas, Edward, Cullen, Patrick, Gregory, Erin and Peter; the proud great-grandfather of J.W. Roth; and was the brother of the late John Seyfried. WEST BRIDGEWATER Gordon F. Tessier, age 71 years, passed away Monday, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, following a three-year battle with Melanoma. He was the loving husband of 45 years of Marilyn R. (Pearson) Tessier of West Bridgewater. Born in International Falls, Minn., he was a son of Opal D. (Stone) Tessier of West Bridgewater and the late Harold Tessier. Gordon was raised and educated in International Falls, Minn., and had been a resident of West Bridgewater since 1967. He was the co-owner and superintendent of Montello Heel Mfg. of Brockton. He also served in the U.S. Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged. He took great pride in his home and yard and enjoyed landscaping, gardening and woodworking. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. His true joy came from his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren, whom he loved to spend time with. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three daughters, Sheri Anderson and husband Lee of West Bridgewater, Lonnie Pepera and husband Anthony, also of West Bridgewater, and Kristie Bilodeau and husband Wayne of Bridgewater; and his loving grandchildren, Brittany and Daniel Carr, Renee Banks and Tess and Anna Bilodeau. He is also survived by a brother, Larry Tessier of Minnesota. A sister, Barbara Schultheis, preceded him in death. MILFORD Mr. Luciano Villani, 77, of Milford MA, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 25, 2008, at Milford Regional Medical Center, after an illness. He was the husband of Mary W. (DiGregorio) Villani, who died in 1989. Mr. Villani was born in Cansano, Italy, the son of the late Costanzo and the late Angelina (Di Pilla) Villani. He attended school in Italy and came to the United States with his family at the age of 16. Mr. Villani was a resident of Milford for most of his life and was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. He was also an honorary member of the Italian-American Veterans Post of Milford, and loved tending to his garden. Mr. Villani was first employed at various shoe factories in Milford and later was employed for more than 20 years at the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale. He also was employed at Boston Digital in Milford and worked at Charlie's Express Pizza and Charlie's Mini Mart, in Milford. Mr. Villani is survived by one daughter, Louisa, wife of Constandinos "Charlie" Giokas, of Milford; one son, David Villani of Mendon; three grandchildren, Elias Giokas, Juliana Giokas of Milford and Justine Villani of Mendon; one sister, Mrs. Elisa DeBartolomeis of Milford; and nieces and nephews. WHITE, Robert Bruce On November 21, 2008. Surrounded by his dear family and by friends. Beloved husband of Barbara. Loving father to Molly, Malcolm and Robert, slipped peacefully from this life to the next on November 21, 2008. Song, love and prayers eased his journey. Always a vibrant and generous soul, he shared his grace, irreverence, humor, and vitality with everyone he encountered. After graduating from the University of Illinois, Bruce joined the Peace Corps, working as a civil engineer in Peru. He then received his Master's in Landscape Architect at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Bruce devoted the first portion of his career to the public sector. Bruce then worked in Real Estate development and management, until his death. Many will recall his years as the proprietor of the Dock Square Coffee And Tea House in Rockport, where his wonderful soups and fabulous coffee were the stuff of legend. He loved opening his home to parties. Each New Year's Day, after a brisk dip in the ocean on Front Beach at high noon, Bruce, Barbara and Molly welcomed the year with friends, food, love and lots of dancing and fabulous music especially jazz. Bruce was a gifted gardener, and as one of his legacies, he leaves his beautiful gardens, which he built stone by stone with his own hands. He was profoundly grateful to have made his home on Cape Ann, where he could fish for hours, sleep in the summer sun and walk with Barbara and his dog on the beach. Bruce was a member of ECCO for the last 4 years. He helped form the first single father's group on Cape Ann, Mr. Mom. These last months, Bruce fought valiantly against cancer and the challenges that followed. His heart and spirit were unrelenting through his many battles. In addition to his cherished family, he leaves two sisters, Barbara of Texas, and Susan of California, a granddaughter, Samantha, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth of Seattle, a sister and brother-in-law, Fern and Joe of Gloucester, many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Mrs. Williams was born in Boston, raised and educated in East Boston. She had lived in Quincy for the last 68 years, earlier living in Dorchester. She was employed at Schraft s Candy in Everett for five years. In addition, she worked as a candy dipper at the Phillips Candy House in Dorchester. She was also a homemaker. Mrs. Williams belonged to the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She enjoyed crocheting and creating arts and crafts for her family. Beloved wife of the late Ralph H. Williams. Devoted mother of Loretta C.
