Mary M. Connor

WALTHAM - Mary M. (Riley) Connor, 79, of Waltham, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Russell M. Connor Sr.

Born in Waltham, a daughter of the late Wallace E. and Alice (Sweeney) Riley, she was a homemaker. She received an honorary degree from Boston College in 2007, and devoted her life to her family.

Mrs. Connor worked for many years as an accounts payable clerk for Inspecs in Billerica until her retirement.

She leaves her children, Regina M. Miante of Annapolis, Md., Bernadette A. Desrosiers LeBlanc and her husband, Robert LeBlanc, of Carlisle, Russell M. Connor Jr. and his wife, Donna, of North Reading, Paul F. Connor and his wife, Ellaree, of Waltham, Julie T. Connor Levey and her partner, Brian Larson, of Carlisle, John P. Connor and his wife, Jacqueline, of Wrentham, and Laura J. Connor of Waltham; her grandchildren, Russell, James, William, and Rebecca Miante, Justin and Christopher Desrosiers, Ryan, Jacqueline, and Samantha Connor, Corrine Connor Cunningham and her husband, Joseph, Meaghan Levey, and Sean, Melanie, Joseph and Hunter Connor; her great-grandchildren, James Lahey, Caileen Hurley, Braeden Riley Cunningham; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Wallace E. Riley Jr.

The funeral will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, at 9 a.m., from The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. (Rte.20), Waltham followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at Saint Mary's Church, 133 School St., Waltham.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart Fund, at Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115, or to the Robert D. Farrell, S.J. Scholarship c/o James A. Woods F.J., at Boston College, 140 Commonwealth Ave., Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.

Eileen M. Walker

WALTHAM - Eileen M. Walker, 75, of Waltham, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at her home, after a lengthy illness.

She was the wife of the late Charles W. Walker.

Born in New York, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Gugarty) Stevens, and had been a longtime resident of both Waltham and the Auburndale section of Newton.

She was retired from the City of Newton School System where she had been employed in the cafeteria at Newton South High School.

She had been a longtime and active communicant of Corpus Christi Parish in Auburndale, devoted her time to her family and enjoyed music, animals and old movies.

She leaves her children, William Walker of Rehoboth, Mary Bernard of Waltham, Brian Walker of Maynard, Barbara Castoldi of Newton, and Andrew Walker of Walpole; her sister, Jane Oliveto of Newton; nine grandchildren;, her great- grandson; and her nieces and nephews.

A service will be held Thursday, at 9:30 a.m., from the Brasco and Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., at Corpus Christi Church, Ash Street, Auburndale.

Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Shirley G. Dzengelewski

FRAMINGHAM - Shirley G. (Green) Dzengelewski, 77, of Framingham, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at the MetroWest Medical Center Leonard-Morse Campus in Natick.

She was the wife of Ludwig J. Dzengelewski.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Catherine (Chipman) Green, and was a resident of the Dorchester section of Boston and Watertown most of her life.

She was employed by B.F. Goodrich, where she met her husband, and later as a controller for Hospital's Laundry in Boston for many years.

In her spare time she enjoyed gardening.

Besides her husband, she leaves her daughters, Karen McMullen and her husband, Michael, of Newton, and Pauline Anderson of Sudbury; her brothers, Jackie Green of Florida and Richard Green; her grandchildren, Shawna, Jeffrey, Kyle, and Dylan; and her great-granddaughter, Bianca; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Marion Nally and Ronnie Green.

A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held Thursday, Sept. 6, at the Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham, at a time to be announced.

Burial will follow in Newton Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Parking attendants will be on duty.
