AMBROGIO, Caroline (Zani) Of Natick, formerly of Wellesley, died peacefully in the comfort of her family, on December 9, 2008. Loving and devoted mother of Dorothy C. Ambrogio of Natick; Charles J. Ambrogio, Jr. of Newmarket, NH; Frank L. Ambrogio of Ashland and Edward P. Ambrogio of Watertown. Sister of Helen Merlino of Wellesley. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Wife of the late Charles J. Ambrogio. Visitations on Friday, Dec. 12, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Amie Nicole (Arnold) Martin, wife of William H. Martin, Jr, of Taunton died unexpectedly at the home of her mother on Sunday afternoon.  Born in Taunton on March 17, 1982, she was the daughter of Mary Espinoza, Dennis and Cathy Bartel  and step daughter of James Burch all of Taunton.  Amie was employed as an accounts receivable clerk by Keystone Automotive in Taunton and she also had been a waitress for Ruby Tuesday’s.  She attended St Andrew the Great Church. She enjoyed working out and visiting the gym.  Besides her husband William of Taunton and her parents she is survived by her children Caiden, Connor and Brynna.  She is the granddaughter of Mary Arnold, Peter and Shirley Lawrence, Joseph Batel, Sr all of Taunton and the late Sandra Bartel and the late Richard Arnold.   Amie is the sister of Rachael and Robert Espinoza, Heather, Leah and Kaytie Tokarz; Brooke Burch; Layne, Cullen and Cierra Bartel all of Taunton.  She is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.  Amie is the daughter in law of Donna and David Roy of Waterford, VT and the sister in law of Crystal, Tasha and Joshua Martin.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St Andrew the Great Church, (Tremont St. facility) on Saturday Dec. 13. 2008 at 10 AM.  Visiting hours on Friday from 5-8PM in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. ( Route 138 South) Taunton. GROTON Mary P. (Parkinson) (Shaw) (Curley) Bickford, 88, of Groton, died Dec. 7, in Emerson Hospital. Born in Boston, May 9, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Anna (Donnellan) Parkinson. She lived in the Boston area and worked for Schraft Candy, B.F. Goodrich and Digital Equipment Corporation. She was a hard worker who enjoyed bingo and traveling to Foxwoods. She was the widow of the late Arthur J. Bickford Jr., who died in 1996, and was predeceased by her sisters and brother. Survived by two daughters, Mary Pat Bunn, of Groton and Ruthanne Remillet of Haverhill; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great great-granddaughter. Also several nieces and nephews. Visiting hour will be at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton, Thursday, from 9-10 a.m., followed by a funeral service. QUINCY Florence E. (Brundige) Cadogan- 75, of Quincy formerly of Weymouth passed away at the Marina Bay Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Quincy on Sunday, December 7, 2008. She was a former resident of Dorchester and Weymouth before moving to Quincy 9 years ago. She was a Communicant of St. Marys Church in West Quincy and a former Communicant of St. Albert the Great Parish in Weymouth. She was best known for her selflessness, unconditional love and dedication to her family. She was the wife of the late John M. Cadogan. She is survived by a daughter Brenda Martin of Buckingham, Virginia and a son Joseph Cadogan of Newport, New Hampshire. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Robert Brundige of Merrimack, New Hampshire and a sister Julia Whitford of Brockton. She was the sister of the late John, Arthur and Joseph Brundige and Theresa Ahern and Mary McDonald. There will be a gathering at the Mortimer N. CALL, Lillian A. Retired partner of BDO Seidman, died November 29 at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. She was 90. Born in Salem, NH to Norman and Ada (Messiah) Call, she was an avid skier and basketball player throughout her school-aged years, and an active member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. During WWII, Ms. Call served at Portsmouth Navy Yard as a transportation officer. She graduated from Bentley School of Accounting and Finance (Bentley College) in 1960 and remained a generous supporter. Ms. Call rose in her profession to become one of the first women named partner of a Boston Big-Five accounting firm. In 1983, she retired from the public accounting profession to the home she shared with her sister Esther (deceased) in Bedford, NH. A personal mentor and professional coach, she will be remembered by her partners and clients for her self-sacrificing professionalism. Ms. Call is survived by her sister Elsie Grover, of Glastonbury, CT, with whom she lived since 2004, and by her sister-in-law Mrs. Frederick (Florence) Call, Topsham, ME. She was predeceased by her sister Esther and brothers Norman and Frederick. She will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews for her tireless and unconditional support, her enchanting social graces, and for having been the model of a modern woman who burned the midnight oil above the glass ceiling. CANAVAN, Alexander M. Peacefully joined the Lord surrounded by his family at Massachusetts General Hospital on December 6, 2008, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was 72. Alex of Pembroke, formerly of Hingham and Braintree, Potomac and Rockville, MD and Mount Lebanon, PA, was born in Weymouth to his late parents, John J. Canavan, Sr., and Doris Alexander Canavan. He is survived by his sisters, Marie and Louise Canavan of Braintree, and predeceased by his two brothers, John J. Canavan, Jr., and George T. Canavan, and sister Anne D. Canavan. For 45 years, he was the beloved husband to Maureen (Barents) Canavan of Pittsfield, MA, and devoted father of James Canavan, married to Kimberly (Bennett) Canavan of Barre, VT; David Canavan, married to Dona (Cannon) Canavan of Weymouth; and Christine (Canavan) Paupore, married to Brian Paupore of Chicago, IL. He was also the proud grandfather of Allison, David, Jonathan, Rebecca and Ryan Canavan. He was a beloved uncle, friend and colleague to many. A graduate of Archbishop Williams High School in 1955 and Providence College in 1959, Alex became proprietor of a successful temporary employment agency in Boston. Later he reinvented himself as general manager and sales manager of WEZE Radio, combining his skills in sales with his love for Christian ministry for 16 years. His zeal for Jesus Christ and desire for others to come to know the Lord as their Savior touched the hearts and souls of many. Dedicated to community outreach, Alex was President of the Jaycee's in Mount Lebanon, PA, in the 1970's and the International Director of Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International for 25 years. He was also an avid Steelers fan while living in Pennsylvania and known by many of the players during the 1970's, and he became a loyal Patriots fan and a frequent game attendee. Visitation will be held Friday, December 12, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, at the McDonald Funeral Home, on Route 18 in SOUTH WEYMOUTH. A celebration service will be held Saturday, December 13, at 3 pm, at South Shore Baptist Church, 578 Main Street in Hingham. A private burial will be held at the Village Cemetery in Weymouth. BRAINTREE Mary Alice (Draghetti) Carlino, age 93, passed away peacefully on December 7 at the Royal Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Braintree. She was born in Springfield, MA and has lived in Braintree her entire life. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Braintree Manor for many years, as well as a banquet waitress for Basile Caterers. She was a member of the Ladies Lodge of the Sons of Italy in Braintree. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Rocco R. Carlino. Devoted mother of Rosemarie Bonani of Holbrook, Rocco and his wife Ania of Pembroke and John and his wife Judi of Brockton. Sister of Gene Draghetti of Louisiana. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary will be remembered for her wonderful giving spirit as well as her sense of humor. She enjoyed travel around this country as well as Italy. She was a wonderful cook and passed on her legacy to several grandchildren, especially her "homemade pasta and tortellini". Charbonneau, Marion E. (Lund)

Marion E. (Lund) Charbonneau died quietly on November 26, 2008 at home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Marion was born on March 30, 1921 in Worcester, MA, the daughter of Elizabeth and Fretiof Lund. In addition to her mother, she was raised by an extended family of aunts and uncles, Anne, Marion, David and William Brown and her grandmother, Jane Murray. Marion lived most of her life in Auburn, Massachusetts and retired from the former Paul Revere Insurance Company in 1983. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn, and after retiring, enjoyed spending time at the Auburn Senior Center, where she was a self-proclaimed Trivial Pursuit champion. She loved to read and later in life became an avid Red Sox fan. She also dearly loved her cats Mitzie and Chloe and enjoyed spoiling them. In 2002 she moved to Albuquerque, NM where she was lovingly cared for by her son Paul and his wife Elizabeth. She was the wife of the late Raoul Pepin who died in 1980 and Herve Charbonneau who died in 2002. Marion also leaves behind three daughters, Janice Strout of Auburn, MA, Joan Adcock and her husband Charles of Charlton, MA, and Elaine Ayer and her husband Fred of Portland, ME and a step-daughter, Ann Michaud and her husband Jim of Hallowell, ME. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Carl and Russell Lund. She is also survived by nine grandhcildren and seven great-grandhcildren. Following a private family gathering, interment will be at the Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton, MA in the Spring.

Marjorie L. Charles RANDOLPH Marjorie L. (Gerard) Charles, 86 years of age, passed away at the home of her daughter, Lois Navarro, in Plymouth, Monday evening. She was born in Boston and had resided in Dorchester before moving to Randolph a number of years ago. More recently, she had been living with her daughter in Plymouth. She was a homemaker devoted to her family and was a member of the auxiliary of the American Legion in Dorchester. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching bowling on television. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Dorchester. She was the wife of the late Walter L. Charles; and the devoted mother of Wallace L. Charles married to Joanne Charles of Plymouth, Lois E. Navarro married to Andrew Navarro of Plymouth and Jan M. Comis married to David A. Comis of Raynham. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late David C. Comis and sister of the late Carl Gerard, Hazel Larson and Arthur Gerard. A funeral service will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree, Friday, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Lucy J. Conlon lifelong resident of Lowell; 55 Lowell Lucy J. Conlon, 55 years old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Tuesday evening, December 2nd, at the Lowell General Hospital. She was born in Lowell, on November 16, 1953, a daughter of the late Charles P. and Helen J. (Jarek) Conlon. She was educated in Middleboro. Lucy was devoted to family and friends and was an avid fan of soap operas, shopping and keeping in touch with friends and family. Her determination in spite of obstacles was well-known and she was admired by all for her independent spirit. Surviving her are a sister, Susan E. Smith, of Lowell; nieces and nephews, Melanie A. and her husband Gregory Moran, Robert W. Smith, Jr., David R. Smith, and Patrick R. Smith; great nieces, Rebecca Smith, Rebecca Moran and Olivia Moran; and great nephew, Gregory Moran; also several aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long friends Paula, Susan and Judy. Born in Marlboro, Ma on December 6, 1923 to George Courtemanche and Lydia Ledoux, he was a former resident of Fitchburg and Leominster. A 38 year resdient, he was a World War II Veteran, and served in the Korean Conflict and the Air Force Reserves, before retiring from the Sears, Roebuck Co. Predeceased by his first wife of 50 years, Alice (St. Cyr) Courtemanche in 1998, he is survived by his children, David R. Courtemanche of Deerfield Beach, FL, Diane R. CRAWLEY, Norman R. Jr. 78, originally of Wenham MA, passed away on December 3, 2008 at his home in Braintree, MA. He was the son of the late Norman R. Crawley & Beatrice Thurston Hamblin Crawley. Educated in Wenham MA public schools, where his mother was an English teacher, he graduated from Beverly High School and Northeastern University. He was a member of the military service, having served during the Korean conflict. For over a half century, he has been the owner and president of Crawley & Company Incorporated, an advertising, public relations and sales promotion company. Norman Crawley was an Eagle Scout and and active adult Scouter, having served on the executive boards of the Boston Council, Old Colony Council, and the Cape & Islands Council, Boy Scouts of America. Active in Rotary, he has been recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow. Active in boating, he was a member and officer of the Charles River Yacht Club in Cambridge, MA and the Bare Cove Power & Sail Squadron. DeLuca, Thomas Domenic

Thomas Domenic DeLuca of Tewksbury; 74 Tewksbury Thomas Domenic DeLuca, age 74, a Tewksbury resident for 36 years, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Saints Medical Center in Lowell. He was the devoted husband of Ada (Alberico) DeLuca, with whom he celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on June 22nd. Born in Boston on May 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Ralph and Phyllis (Demetrio) DeLuca. Mr. DeLuca was raised in Watertown, attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and the Boston Trade School. In 1952, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War aboard the USS Ellyson. He was awarded several decorations for his military service including the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal. He resided in Watertown until moving to Tewksbury in 1972. Mr. DeLuca was a communicant of Saint William's Parish of Tewksbury. Prior to his retirement in 1983, he was employed as a supervisor by the B.F. Goodrich Tire Company, where he worked for 27 years. Mr. DeLuca was a frequent visitor to the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In-Center and a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club. He enjoyed completing puzzles and the numerous trips taken with the Tewksbury Golden Age Club. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived three daughters, Phyllis Gill and her husband Paul, Angela DeLuca Joyce and her husband Lance and Maria Rappold all of Tewksbury; five grandchildren, Matthew Gill, Steffanie and Sarah DeLuca-Gifford (and their father Russell Gifford), True and Jonah Rappold (and their father Bryan Rappold); three brothers, Ralph DeLuca and his wife Doreen of Winchester, Michael DeLuca and his wife Licia of Tewksbury and John DeLuca and his partner Gene Pesce of Orlando, FL; one sister, Rose DeLuca and her husband Steve Cotter of North Andover; also many nieces and nephews. QUINCY Fileno DelMonte, a lifelong resident of Quincy, died Monday December 8, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a brief illness. He was 89. Mr. DelMonte was the loving husband of the late Florence (Azzato) DelMonte. Born in Quincy on April 23, 1919, Mr. DelMonte was the son of the late Berardino and Rafailia (DiCenso) DelMonte. He attended Quincy schools and worked for 27 years for Grossmans, formerly of Quincy. Mr. DelMonte served in the US ARMY during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. DelMonte is survived by his son Richard DelMonte and his wife Sheena of Weymouth. He is also survived by his granddaughter Laura. Mr. DelMonte was the brother of the late John DelMonte, Tillio DelMonte, Palmera Mascioli and Philomena Ricci. Warren was born in Portland, Maine a son of Leslie and Annette (Stearns) Gibson. He graduated from West Paris High School, and earned his Bachelors degree from Bowdoin College in 1960, and served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962. He then graduated from Williams College school of Banking. Warren and Patricia lived and raised their family in Milton, MA most of their life before moving to Shrewsbury seven years ago. Warren worked inn the banking industry all his life. He was a banker for several banking firms in Maine and Massachusetts before retiring from Boston 5 cent savings bank. Warren was a simple man who enjoyed the company of his family especially his grandchildren. They were his joy. The funeral will be held Friday, December 12th from the Mercandante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., WORCESTER, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St. Burial in Mt View Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. HORN, Alfred Jr. Age 83 of Pembroke formerly of Hanover, died Friday, December 5, 2008 at the Life Care Center in Scituate after a short illness. The son of the late Alfred and Anne (Best) Horn Sr., he was born in Quincy on August 23, 1925. Mr. Horn was raised and educated in Quincy and was a graduate of Boston State College and received a Masters Degree from Bridgewater State College. He served in the Navy during WWII on the USS Lionfish. He was employed as a School Teacher at Silver Lake Regional High School for 34 years. He was a member of the MA Teachers Association and a former member of the Hanover Lions Club. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Russell Hunter, in 1973 and her daughter, Ann H. Scott, in 1994. Marjorie is survived by her son, David R. Hunter, daughter-in-law, Kay Lea; granddaughters, Samantha and Jaime, of Meredith, NH. She is also survived by another son, James S.   JOAN E. A. VANDERLAAN, 75 of Topsham, died December 4, 2008 at Westrom House in Topsham.  She was born in Providence, Rhode Island March 26, 1933, daughter of Abilio and Elizabeth (Delaborre) Aguas.  She lived in the Bath area for the past 20 years having moved to Maine from Massachusetts.   Joan was “Mama Joan” to all she knew.  She made her career as a florist and was well known for spreading the word of her God, Jehovah.  Joan loved all of nature’s beauty, especially bird watching.  She will be missed dearly by all who knew her, especially her loving children.    Joan is survived by her sons, Steven Gildersleeve, Jeffrey Gildersleeve, Peter Gildersleeve, Todd Gildersleeve and Wodan Vanderlaan; daughters, Sue Ann Connors and Alexandora Gildersleeve; sister Antonia Leverone; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.   Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 13th at Brunswick Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Overseer Bruce Crooker officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brunswick Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 22 Water Street, Brunswick, ME 04011.  Arrangements are under the care of Direct Cremation of Maine, 182 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.

Stanley E. Kaliszewski, 91, of 28 Goddard St., died Monday, December 8 in Hubbard Regional Hospital after being stricken ill at home. He leaves his wife of 66 years, Irene T. (Zablocki) Kaliszewski; three sons, Carl Kaliszewski of Charlton, Mark Kaliszewski and his wife Linda of Webster and John Kaliszewski and his wife Donna of Dudley; four grandchildren, Matt, Aaron, Shelley and Samantha. Predeceased by a daughter Rita Kaliszewski in 1991. He was born in Dudley, the son of the late Anthony Kaliszewski and the late Eleanor (Fersz). He graduated from Bartlett High School. He served in the Army with the 379th Infantry from 6/27/1942 to 2/1/1946 seeing action in central Europe and at the battle of the Bulge. Stan was a member of the Iron Men of METZ. He worked as a Machinist Helper 27 years at the Morgan Construction Co. retiring in 1979. Mr. Kaliszewski was a member of St. Joseph Basilica. A member of P.A.V. , TSKK and American Legion Post 184. "Stan the Man" was an accomplished candlepin bowler and the T&Gchampion in 1947, 57 and runner up in 1961. After high school Veronica began a career in the abrasives division of Norton Company where she worked for more than 40 years. She was an active member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church where she served as Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Women's Club. She was also a volunteer at the Calvary Retreat Center in Shrewsbury. Veronica was predeceased by her husband Stephen; her sisters, Marie Angell and Marguerite Lemanski and four brothers, Peter, Bernard, Edward and Thomas Slack, Jr. She is survived by 28 nephews and nieces and numerous grand and great-grand nephews and nieces. Born in St. Cantin, Canada on September 18, 1917 she was a daughter of the late Xavier and Malvina (Lemieux) Gagnon. She was a parishioner of the former Ste Jeanne d'Arc Church and more recently a communicant of the Parish of Saint Rita. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a stitcher for over twenty years for the former Ideal Dress Company. Mrs. Leclair had a passion for sewing and had much enjoyment for spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Surviving her are two sons and a daughter in law, Alfred A. Lauderdale in 1967, before returning to this area a few years ago. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served in the 18th Infantry U.S. Army Air Force 1st Division, and 513th sqdn. 406 Fighter Bomber Group, of the United States Army. He served from July 1940 to October 1945. Carl was co-owner of the former Beacon Furniture Store in Leominster for several years. In Fort Lauderdale FL, he was a travel agent with his wife Sally for Travel Partners. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Maria (Soares) Cunha, 87, died Monday, December 8, at the Marian Manor in Taunton after a period of failing health.  She was the wife of the late Pedro Morais and Antonio Cunha.  Born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, she was raised on Santa Maria.  Mrs. Cunha moved to the United States in 1968 and settled in Stoughton.  She lived in Stoughton for 16 years before moving to Taunton, where she has resided for over 24 years.  She worked as a stitcher at Corcoran Shoe in Stoughton for several years, retiring many years ago.  In her free time, she enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family.   She is survived by her six children: Joseph R. Cunha of Canada, John R. Cunha of RI, Antonio R. Cunha of Assonet, Maria R. Cabral, Georgina R. Moura and Irene C. Coffill all of Taunton.  She was the sister of John Tavares Rego of Brazil and Adelina Soares Mendonca of Portugal.  She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.  She was the grandmother of 16 and the great grandmother of 16. Mary G. (Voci) Williams, 91 years of Taunton, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully December 7, 2008 at home with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur A. Williams for 47 years and the daughter of the late Nicola and Emmanuela (Celia) Voci. Born in Philadelphia, Mary moved to Brockton at the age of four; was a graduate of Brockton High School and longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church.   She was the loving mother of Joyce Hayes and her husband Richard of Brockton, Maureen Brillo and her husband Frank of Quincy, Cathy Jackson and her husband James of Bridgewater, Joanne Ferrari and her husband Joseph of Mansfield, Janice Scinta and her husband Louis of West Hartford, Connecticut, and Jeanne Pestana and her husband Thomas of Taunton.  She was the devoted grandmother of Dianne (Hayes) Masel, and Brendan Hayes, Timothy, Jonathan and Caitlin Brillo, Kelly, Kevin and Keith Jackson, Daniel Ferrari, Jenna and Louis Scinta, Jr. and the late Deidre (Hayes) Baril.  She was also the great-grandmother of Austin Masel, Meaghan, Delaney and Maxine Baril, Ryan and Kevin Hayes and Avery and Julia Brillo and sister of Terry Dolan of New Canaan, CT and the late George Voci, Catherine Madan and Nicholas Voci. She recently retired after more than 30 years as Site Manager for Old Colony Elderly Services Meals on Wheels, Manning Towers.  She was also a talented seamstress and taught sewing at the Brockton Evening Adult Enrichment classes at Gilmore School.  She enjoyed painting, embroidery, Bunka and traveling.  Mary had a great sense of humor, and most of all, loved spending time with her family.  She was also a loving and caring mother and grandmother who always put her family first.  She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. In Plymouth, December 7, 2008  Mary M. Tanes died after a brief illness at the age of 78 in Jordan Hospital.  Mary was the daughter of the late Pandy & Helidona (Plakas) Tanes.  Mary was born and educated in Taunton before working for the State Department in Washington, D.C. During her employment Mary traveled numerous times with ambassadors to other countries.  After her retirement in 1987, Mary volunteered at the library in Boynton Beach, FL. where she resided.  She also belonged to the Federal Retirement Group and enjoyed playing bingo.  Recently she moved to MA. when her health had declined.  Mary is predeased by her siblings Violet McGlynn and Ellen Gauthier. She is also survived by several neices & nephews and grand neices & nephews. Mary also leaves several friends from around the country. Vilho V. Minkkinen enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing; 87 Westminster Vilho V. Minkkinen, 87, passed away, Monday, December 8, 2008 surrounded by his loving family at the Heywood Hospital in Gardner. He was born on December 24, 2008, in Hankalasmi, Finland a son of the late Ville and Ida (Hyvonen) Minkkinen. He was a graduate of Gardner High School, the class of 1940. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Machinists Mate 1st Class. Vilho and Lillian were married in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Thanksgiving Day in 1953 and just celebrated their 55 Wedding Anniversary. Vilho worked as a machinist/metal urgist for the former Nuclear Metals Co, in W. Concord, for many years. Vilho built his own house in his spare time where his wife continues to live. He was a hard working, extremely talented, and always found time for his family and friends. He also was an outdoorsman who in his younger days enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, he was a great dancer who frequented all the Finnish Dance Hall in the area. He was a member of the Douglas E. Hicks V.F.W. Post, and the William S. Miller American Legion both in Westminster. Vilho will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by his family and all who knew him. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Lillian (Lutz) Minkkinen, one daughter, Linda (Minkkinen) Mulligan and her husband Michael, one grandson Eric Mulligan, one granddaughter Colleen Mulligan, one brother Erkki O. Minkkinen all of Westminster. He is predeceased by a sister Vieno (Minkkinen) Rice who died in 2001. MINKKINEN A Memorial Service will be held at a late date to be announced. NEW BEDFORD Arthur Walter "Butch" Mott Jr., 67, of New Bedford, died Dec. 7, 2008, in Saint Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, following a period of declining health. He was born March 25, 1941, in Weymouth, a son of the late Arthur W. and Dorothy (Southworth) Mott Sr., and attended Weymouth public schools. A former boy scout, he was a member of Troop 8, Weymouth. Later, he served in the Massachusetts National Guard. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Mott worked at J.F. Price Quarries as a heavy equipment operator. He drove stock cars in Norwood and treasured the time he spent riding his Harley. A resident of New Bedford, Mr. Mott was a former resident of Weymouth and Pembroke. Mr. Mott was predeceased by his parents and three brothers, Robert, Charles and Curtis Mott. OConnor, Rosemary P.

Rosemary P. OConnor BROCKTON Rosemary P. (Buckley) (Jones) OConnor, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at home, under the care of her family and hospice, at the age of 90. She was the wife of the late William A. OConnor and Lt. Wallace R. Jones, U.S. Navy. Born in Brockton, May 21, 1918, she was a daughter of the late John C. and Josephine (Flannery) Buckley. Rosemary was a graduate of St. Patrick High School, Class of 1937. In her youth, Rosemary was very active in St. Margarets Parish Theater, in which she had many leading roles in the musical and drama productions. She was also a member of the Junior Twentieth Century Catholic Club and a communicant of St. Patricks Parish. In 1943, she married her high school sweetheart, Navy pilot Lt. Wallace Jones. As a Navy wife, she lived in Oscalusa, Iowa, Coronado, Calif., and Pennsicola, Fla. Upon her husbands untimely death, she returned home to Brockton, where she raised her three young sons. Rosemary was a devoted wife to her husband, the late William A. OConnor, for 39 years, with whom she had their daughter, Nancy. A communicant of St. Edith Stein Parish (formerly St. Edwards), for more than 60 years, she was a member of the Ladies Sodality and the St. Edwards School PTA. She was also a member of Ireland's Own Irish social club of Brockton. Rosemary devoted her life to her family and friends. She was always there to help with taking care of her children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She had resided for the past 17 years with her daughter, son-in-law and their children, where she enjoyed listening to and sharing a story or song or two with all their friends. She was known to all as Nana. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard and Elizabeth Jones, Robert and Pamela Jones, Donald and Susan Jones and Nancy (OConnor) and Alexander Oriola; loving grandmother of Nicole (Jones) Krisiukenas and her husband Jerome, Courtney and Ashley Jones, Shannon and Shawn Oriola; and great-grandmother of Emily and Mark Krisiukenas. She was also step-grandmother to Scott and his wife Krissy, Hailee, Annmarie and Mikaela Oriola; sister-in-law of John and Patricia (OConnor) McGillis, Paul and Teresa OConnor and Eleanor Flynn. In addition to her children, she lovingly leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, dear friends and her beloved companions and pets, Maggie, Tigger and Jackie. She was the sister of the late John Russell Buckley and sister-in-law of the late Robert and Mary (OConnor) Waldron, Herbert and Mary O Connor, Margaret (Jones) Burke and Edward and Francis Jones. Parsons, Frank D.

Mr. Frank D. Parsons, 90, of Peabody, formerly of Lynn, died Wednesday in North Shore Medical Center, after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Laurel M. (Cleveland) Parsons, who passed away November 15, 2008 after 67 years of marriage. Frank was Laurel's Rock during her illness, offering her strength and unconditional love. Her passing left a void in his life that nothing could fill. Although our hearts ache, we are consoled by knowing that Frank and Laurel are together, never again to be apart. Born in Newfoundland, Canada, son of the late Herbert and Irene (Page) Parsons, he was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1936. He attended Northeastern University and Wentworth Institute. He resided in Peabody for six years, previously residing in Lynn, East Dennis, MA, and Worcester. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. as a 2nd Lt. in the 2109th Air Base Unit. He was employed at the General Electric Co., River Works as a Government Property Administrator for over 43 years until his retirement in 1979. He was an avid photographer and was a former member of the Odd Fellows. Frank leaves his devoted daughter, Dawn Spear and her husband Bradford of Amesbury; a sister, Dorothy Tankard of Peabody; two loving grandchildren, Bradford Parsons of Grafton, and Erin Toohil, of Sutton; two great grandchildren, James Toohil, and Shannon Toohil; 4 nieces and a nephew. He was brother of the late Gerald and Gordon Parsons. Wally was a graduate of Fitchburg State College and was an electro mechanical engineer. He was employed by Compu Graphic in Wilmington. BRIDGEWATER Edward A. Rhilinger Sr., 81, a resident of Bridgewater for the past seven years, died Saturday evening, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, after a short illness. He was the beloved and devoted husband of the late Vonda (Hersch) Rhilinger. Born Feb. 8, 1927, he was a son of the late Joseph and Ethel (Thomas) Rhilinger. He was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Boston College High School, in 1944. He worked for Gillette Razor Company when he was young. He had an interior decorating company with his brother-in-law, the late Joe Maycock. He and his wife, Vonda, managed a multi-unit condo in Boston for years. He loved to cook and his passion was singing. He sang at Jordan Hall in Boston when he was a young man. You could find him singing at the Ritz of Boston many nights. Since moving to Bridgewater, Ed could be found each day at Tony's Cantina, sitting in his favorite seat. Richards, Eunice R.

Eunice R. Richards formerly of Chelmsford, Billerica & Burlington Burlington Eunice R. Richards, age 69, who dedicated her life to the disabled, her church, and family, passed away suddenly on Saturday night, December 6, 2008. Eunice was born in Kingston, Jamaica, the daughter of the late Albert and Sybil Richards. She grew up and was educated in Kingston. She worked at the U.S. Embassy and owned her own business in Jamaica. In May of 1979, she left everything in Jamaica to start a new life in the United States. She made her home in Arlington, Burlington, Billerica, and Chelmsford. Eunice had a passion for working with disabled children and adults. She worked for 28 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Walter E. Fernald State School. Over the years she held a number of positions, and at her retirement, she was the Assistant Division Director. She also worked with TCS (Temporary Care Services) Family Support in Cambridge, a family support program serving children with developmental disabilities who live at home with their families. She was still assisting at TCS when she died. Her work was far more than a job, it was a vocation. Her clients were like her family and were often welcomed at her family's celebrations and holidays. She truly made a difference in her client's' lives. Eunice had a strong faith and knew the importance of family. She was an active parishioner at Saint Malachy's Church, Saint Margaret's Church, and Saint Mary's Church. She especially enjoyed being part of the church's music ministries. She was blessed to have a warm and loving family. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Eunice was the beloved mother of Peta-Gaye Prinn & her husband Michael of Boston. She was the loving grandmother of Jackson Prinn. Mr. Rutherford passed away Sunday, December 7, at his home. Born October 20, 1952 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he has lived in Lake County, Ohio for the past 21 years. Mr. Rutherford retired after 32-years of service at Rockwell Automation in December 2007. He was a co-founder of NOREC, LLC in 2008. Michael J. Scully MIDDLEBORO Michael J. Scully, 22 years, of Middleboro, died Sunday, from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born in Stoughton, a son of Sheila (Kight) Scully of South Easton and the late Wayne A. Scully. He was raised and educated in Brockton and attended Brockton High School, where he was a member of the Brockton High School track team. For the past three years, Michael was a warehouse receiver for W.B. Mason. In his free time, he enjoyed PS3 Call of Duty and paintballing with his brother Cody. Michael was a very dedicated father to his two year old son, Anthony, who was his world. He was extremely devoted to his family and cherished the time spent with his fiancee, son, mother and siblings. He will be remembered for having a smile on his face and a laugh in his heart. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancee, Jessica M. He retired in 1987 from Ft. McPherson, GA. He was Director of Maintenance for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Union County Schools. Raymond J. Trombly of Dracut; 72 Dracut Raymond J. Trombly, a Dracut resident, beloved husband of Constance V. (Monty) Trombly died Sunday December 7, 2008 at the Saints Medical Center, following an extended Illness. He was 72. He was born in Lowell on October 25, 1936 a son of the late Raymond Trombly and the late Helen (Vigneault) Saunders. Ray was a member of the American Legion Post 212 in Chelmsford. He owned and operated the former Champagne Diner in Lowell for four years, and then he owned and operated the former Trombly House Restaurant on Woburn Street in Lowell for ten years until illness forced his retirement. Ray enjoyed playing cards and get togethers with family and friends. Survivng him besides his wife are a sister and brother in-law, Claire and Stephen Beach of Clermont, FL; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carmen and Leonard Cossette of Springfield, Gilbert and Charlotte Monty of Pelham, NH, Ronald Monty of Baltimore, MD, Conrad Monty and his partner Helen Smith of Lowell; and several nieces and nephews. Mario Valenti, of Rochdale, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 9, 2008, eighty-two years to the day of his birth after suffering a series of strokes. Mario was born December 9th 1935 in Worcester, a son of Loreto and Adelaida (DeAngelis) Valenti. He attended Worcester Public Schools, served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy during World War II and has lived here most of his life. Mario is survived by three brothers: Armand Valenti in Florida, John Valenti of Milford and James Valenti of South Yarmouth. Many nieces and nephews. Three sisters: Sally Valenti, Helen Hastings, and Mary DiVerdi and two brothers: Louis and Frank Valenti all predeceased him. Mario worked as a carpenter in the Worcester Area for many years before retiring. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Wilkinson, Robert John

Robert John Wilkinson VERNON, CONN Robert J. Wilkinson, 84, of Vernon, beloved husband of the late Elisabeth Wilkinson, separated himself from his physical body and entered the spiritual world peacefully on December 3, 2008, surrounded by his family. Robert Bob, born July 3, 1924 in Milton, MA, was the second son of Thomas and Teresa Wilkinson of Quincy, MA. Robert grew up in North Quincy and attended North Quincy High School. During World War II, Robert served in the Navy Air Corps in the South Pacific as a radioman aboard B-17 and PBY aircraft. He received several commendations including the Navy Air Medal for anti-submarine patrols and reconnaissance missions in the summer of 1945, Squadron 142. A 1950 graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA, Bob was employed with Maryland Casualty Co. in Boston, before joining Allstate as an adjuster in 1955. In his 35 years with Allstate, Bob held several positions in the claims department before retiring as the managing attorney for the New England region. Bob was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed golf, basketball, baseball and fishing. However, football was his passion and he was a loyal Patriots fan from the onset. Bob was also an avid reader, history buff, and music lover; in his later years, he enjoyed woodworking projects. Robert and Elisabeth enjoyed travel to Bermuda, Barbados, and Nova Scotia as well as attending concerts at Hart School of Music and U Conn. Robert is predeceased by his two brothers Richard (Dick) and John (Jack) who also served in WWII. He is survived by his daughter Karen and her husband Vic of Hopewell Junction, NY; his son Thomas and his children Jon and Benjamin of Suffield. He is also survived by his sister Carol Bangs of Carver, MA; a sister-in-law Gloria Wilkinson of Plymouth; and, a brother-in-law Cal Parker of Milton, MA as well as many dear nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at The Suffield House for the care and kindness shown to Robert. Mary G. Williams TAUNTON Mary G. (Voci) Williams, 91 years, of Taunton, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully, Dec. 7, 2008, at home, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur A. Williams for 47 years. Daughter of the late Nicola and Emmanuela (Celia) Voci, born in Philadelphia, Mary moved to Brockton at the age of four. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and longtime communicant of St. Margaret Church. She was the loving mother of Joyce Hayes and her husband Richard of Brockton, Maureen Brillo and her husband Frank of Quincy, Cathy Jackson and her husband James of Bridgewater, Joanne Ferrari and her husband Joseph of Mansfield, Janice Scinta and her husband Louis of West Hartford, Conn., and Jeanne Pestana and her husband Thomas of Taunton. She was the devoted grandmother of Dianne (Hayes) Masel and Brendan Hayes, Timothy, Jonathan and Caitlin Brillo, Kelly, Kevin and Keith Jackson, Daniel Ferrari, Jenna and Louis Scinta Jr. and the late Deidre (Hayes) Baril. She was also the great-grandmother of Austin Masel, Meaghan, Delaney and Maxine Baril, Ryan and Kevin Hayes and Avery and Julia Brillo; and sister of Terry Dolan of New Canaan, Conn., and the late George Voci, Catherine Madan and Nicholas Voci. She recently retired after more than 30 years as Site Manager for Old Colony Elderly Services Meals on Wheels, Manning Towers. She was also a talented seamstress and taught sewing at the Brockton Evening Adult Enrichment classes at Gilmore School. She enjoyed painting, embroidery, Bunka and traveling. Mary had a great sense of humor, and most of all, loved spending time with her family. She was also a loving and caring mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Zenevich, Frances (Daucunas)

Frances (Daucunas) Zenevich, 96, of 49 Pleasant Valley Dr., died December 9, 2008 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 119 Belmont St. Her husband, Albert P. Zenevich died in 1983. She leaves a sister-in-law, Locadia R. Daucunas of Worcester and several nephews and nieces. Frances was born in Worcester, a daughter of John and Ann (Stramila) Daucunas and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Zenevich was a nationally certified linotype operator and worked many years for the Heffernan Press Co. She also did linotype work for "Amerikos Lietuvis" a Lithuanian newspaper that was printed in Worcester. Frances was a member of St. Casimir Church and was a graduate of Commerce High School. The funeral will be held on Friday, December 12, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10:00 a.m in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Zollo, Cheryl G. (Gould)

Cheryl G. (Gould) Zollo, 64, of Shrewsbury, died unexpectedly Monday, December 8, 2008 in the UMASS Medical Center after becoming ill at home. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Louis P. Zollo; her devoted children: a son, Shannon Zollo and his wife Joni of Franklin MA; a daughter, Karin Anderson and her husband Von of Worcester; nine grandchildren: Alexandria, Zachary, Connor, Kara, Jacob, Kati, Kayana, Kinzi and Kaci. Cheryl is also survived by her father, George Gould of California; a brother, Robert Farland and his wife Pat of Maryland; a half brother, Steven Gould, and a half sister, Susan Loop, both of Portland Oregon; three brothers in-law: William Zollo, Paul Zollo, and Richard Girard, and sisters in-law: Anita Lucas Zollo, and Lisa Zollo. Cheryl also leaves an aunt, Marceligh Pratt Craner, and five nephews and nieces: Alison, Michael, and Renee Zollo, and Francis Harrahy, and Nicholas Zollo, and several great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. A sister, Joyce Farland, and a half brother, Steven Gould predeceased her. Cheryl was born in Manchester, CT, daughter of the late Beryl (Nelson) Gould and came to Worcester at an early age. She was a graduate of North High School, and Quinsigamond Community College, and has lived in Shrewsbury for 13 years. Cheryl was a professional organizer and was the founder and owner of the Organi Genesis Company for many years and was still active up to her passing. Cheryl was the heart of her family and enjoyed being with her friends and relatives. She was an intimate and trustworthy friend to all who knew her, and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Cheryl loved to read, and was a fantastic baker and enthusiastic cook. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Worcester, and was an active member of the North High Alumni Association where she helped coordinate many class reunions. Cheryl's funeral will be held Friday, December 12, at 12 noon in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 67 Chester St. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8PM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St. Another period of visitation will be held in the church Friday morning from 11AM to Noon. Interment will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, the family ask's donations be made to a charity of your choice for childrens needs.
