Edimar A. De Araujo
MILFORD - Edimar Alves De Araujo, 34, of Milford, formerly of Ipatinga, MG, Brazil, died unexpectedly Tuesday Aug. 7, 2007, in Rhode Island Hospital.
He was the son of Valdemar Alves De Paiva and Sebastiana Colares Araujo of Ipatinga, MG, Brazil.
Besides his parents, he leaves four brothers, Jose Alves De Araujo, Geraldo Magela De Araujo, Edimilson Alves De Araujo and Sebastiao; four sisters, Maria Alves De Araujo, Aparecida Alves, Irene Alves De Araujo and Marli Alves De Araujo.
Born in Vermelho Novo, Minas Gerais, Brazil, he was educated in Ipatinga, MG.
He was a painter in the MetroWest area for many years, and enjoyed swimming, weightlifting and cookouts with his family and friends.
Calling hours are today, from 6 to 10 p.m., at Assembleia De Deus, 190 Main St., Milford.
A funeral service will be held this evening during calling hours.
Burial will be in Cemiterio Da Paz, Ipatinga, MG Brazil.

Michael A. Ianiro
FRAMINGHAM - Michael A. Ianiro, 74, of Framingham, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with prostate cancer.
He was the husband of Roberta (Maccini) Ianiro.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham, are incomplete at this time.
Francis J. McDevitt
FRAMINGHAM - Francis J. McDevitt, 70, a 65-year resident of Framingham, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at MetroWest Medical Center, surrounded by his family and close friends.
He was the husband of Jean (Morini) McDevitt for more than 40 years.
Born in Boston, son of the late Frank and Ellen V. "Nellie" (Mitchell) McDevitt, he was a well-known former Framingham teacher, coach and athlete.
A 1954 graduate of Framingham High School and 1958 graduate of Worcester State College, where he was co-captain of the basketball team, member of the baseball team and editor of the college newspaper, he taught at Woodward School in Southborough for four years. He spent the remainder of his 39-year teaching career in the Framingham public schools, where he was given the "You Are Special" award as outstanding teacher.
He was the Framingham North High School basketball coach for nine years and freshman football coach for Framingham South High School for several years. In addition, he was a lifeguard and playground director for the Framingham Recreation Department for many years.
A member of the Framingham Teachers Association and Massachusetts Teachers Association, he was a member of the Framingham Lodge of Elks BPOE 1264.
He will be remembered in Framingham for his talented basketball play as a member of the famous Shock Auto Body team. In recent years, he was devoted to his grandchildren and was involved in their many activities.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Christopher F. McDevitt of Framingham; a daughter, Pamela Sunderland and her husband, Robert, of Ashland; two brothers, James P. McDevitt and his wife, Marlene, of Falmouth and Kevin T. McDevitt of Cambridge; two sisters, Ellen V. Walker and her husband, James, of Ashland and Kate Wilde and her husband, Robert, of Tampa, Fla.; his grandchildren, Morgan and David Sunderland; three nieces and four nephews; and many cousins.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated today at 10 a.m., at St. George's Church, 74 School St., Framingham (Saxonville).
Burial will follow in St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Framingham.
Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Framingham Teachers Association Scholarship Fund, 1253 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01701.
Virginia B. Riordan
HOLLISTON- Virginia (Bowen) Riordan, 88, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a brief illness.
Born in South Natick, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Fair) Bowen, and was a resident of Holliston for 42 years.
Virginia, "Ginny" to her friends, will forever be remembered for her intelligence and strong will. A graduate of Lasell College, she prided herself on her knowledge of current events, and was rarely without a strong opinion on the issue of the day. Her interests included politics and medical science, and she was a passionate Red Sox fan.
She maintained a lifelong friendship with a group of girls who met in grammar school in Framingham, dubbing themselves the "Out For Fun" Club ("OFF"). They maintained a steady schedule of lunches and get-togethers for more than 70 years.
A communicant of St. Mary's Church, she was employed by Filene's and Jordan Marsh for many years. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She leaves three sons, Charles R. Riordan Jr., his wife, Cynthia, and her son, Andrew Merritt, of Holliston, Jeffrey Riordan of Mansfield, Conn., and William J. Riordan and his wife, Pat, of Mansfield; three nieces, Ruthann Tomassini, Janet Murphy and Elaine Dodos; two great-nieces, Cheryl Brinson and Ruthann "Cubby" Kinney; and a great-nephew, Richard Tomassini and his wife, Ann; as well as numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Ruth McGowan, Walter Bowen and Frances Bowen, and the great aunt of the late Ronald Tomassini.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 20, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Church in Holliston.

Susan M. St. Hilaire
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Susan M. (Olson) St. Hilaire, 58, of New Bedford, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at Rhode Island Hospital.
She was the longtime companion of Dean Iacoponi of New Bedford and former wife of the late Robert L. Jones.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Mary "Betty" (Mountain) Olson. She grew up in the city and lived in Brattleboro, Vt., before settling in New Bedford 25 years ago.
She was an LPN at various New Bedford area nursing facilities and also did private care. She enjoyed gardening and crafts. She especially enjoyed cooking and feeding people, collecting things, going to yard sales and flea markets and going to the beach at West Island in Fairhaven. She was always there to help a friend or a stranger in need and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her companion, she leaves a son, Steven B. Jones and his companion, Virginia Marote, of New Bedford; a sister, Lisa Olson Carter of Rochester; three brothers, Richard Olson and his wife, Tina, of Old Forge, N.Y., Michael Olson and his wife, Gail, of Marlborough, and Chuck Olson and his wife, Bonnie, of Stow; a granddaughter, Briana Lee Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated, and a Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m., at the Donaghy Funeral Home (www.hathawayfuneral.com), 465 County St., New Bedford.
Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the American Red Cross, 139 Main St., Cambridge, MA 02142.
