NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. - June Boretos, 67, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., whose grandson lives in Northampton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. She was born on the Six Nation Reserve in Oshweken, Ontario, on June 25, 1940, the daughter of Sam and Lucinda (Bomberry) Johns. She was a member of the Wolf Clan.

Jean Chapman
HADLEY - Jean Clarke Russ Rust Chapman, 78, of Hadley, a retired senior editor and university managing medical administrator, died peacefully in her sleep July 27 at her home. She was 78 and died of cardiopulmonary failure.

Georgianne Conte
GREENPORT, N.Y. - Georgianne Jacque Conte, 65, of Greenport, N.Y., died Thursday, Aug. 30, at Columbia Memorial Hospital. Born June 29, 1942, in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Jacque.

Regina Niemiec
EASTHAMPTON - Regina A. (Nomakeo) Niemiec, 78, of Easthampton, formerly of Westfield, died Wednesday at home. Born in Westfield Jan. 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Agnes (Socha) Nomakeo. She was employed for many years at Stanley Home Products of Easthampton.

Stanley Taylor Jr.
SUNDERLAND - Stanley L. Taylor Jr., 59, of 66 Old Amherst Road, died suddenly on Aug. 28, at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Born in Holyoke on Dec. 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Stanley L. and Ann E. (McEvitt) Taylor.

Lyman Wrisley
SOUTHAMPTON - Lyman "Scotty" Wrisley, 90, of Southampton, died Aug. 28 at home. He was born in Greenfield Meadows to Lyman and Julia (Casey) Wrisley on Feb. 12, 1917. Most of Lyman's youth was spent in and around South Deerfield.

Arthur Jones; led the masses into gyms with Nautilus
Arthur Jones, the swashbuckling inventor of Nautilus exercise equipment, which revolutionized strength training by replacing the dead weight of barbells with a variable resistance technique, died Tuesday at his home in Ocala, Fla. No cause of death was reported. He was 80.
