Obituaries: "Kosa Sr., Loraine M. (Larson) View/Sign Guest Book FITCHBURG -- Loraine M. (Larson) Kosa Sr., 77, of 30 Pleasant St., Fitchburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, after a short illness. She was born on March 21, 1930, in Fitchburg, daughter of the late Edwin and Alma (Sawyer) Larson. Mrs. Kosa worked at Foster Grants in Leominster, the Fitchburg Yarn Company on River Street and then Burbank Hospital, where she retired from. She loved cats, and had many of them throughout her life, and she also enjoyed reading, particularly love stories and mystery books. She was also known for her many gifts to charity. She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, William L. Kosa Sr.; her older sister, Evelyn Charron of Fitchburg; five sons, William L. Kosa Jr. and his wife, Dianne Kosa, of Michigan, Christopher J. Kosa and his wife, Melodye Kosa, of California, Jeff M. Kosa, Danny J. Kosa and Edwin Kosa, all of Fitchburg. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. KOSA -- Mrs. Loraine M. Kosa Sr. will be creamated, and a private graveside service will be held. She will be buried in Forest Hill Cemetary. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 243 Water St., Fitchburg. Published in the Sentinel & Enterprise on 8/23/2007."
