Lisa M. Burnell

MARLBOROUGH - Lisa M. (Adams) Burnell, 43, of Marlborough, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at UMass Memorial Healthcare-Marlborough Hospital, after an illness.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and are under the direction of the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough.

Lillian F. Delmonte

HOPKINTON - Lillian F. Delmonte, 86, of Hopkinton, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at the Westborough Healthcare Center.

Marie DeSousa

MILFORD - Marie DeSousa, 87, of Milford, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, after a brief illness.

She was the wife of Joao R. DeSousa, who died in 1991.

Born in Ludlow, she was a daughter of the late Theresa and Louis Moriera, and was a lifelong Milford resident, living in the Prospect Heights area of Milford.

She retired from the former Karteganer's and Lisch Hat Factory in Upton.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making crafts, casinos, and loved to travel.

She leaves one son, John R. DeSousa and his wife, Andrea, of Milford; four sisters, Lydia Alves, Rose Diomedes, Linda Alisch and Gloria Gandolfi, all of Milford; two grandchildren, John A. DeSousa and his wife, Melissa, of Milford, Angela J. Hagerty and her husband, Robert, of Marshfield; two great- grandchildren, Abigail Hagerty and Jack Hagerty, both of Marshfield.

She was the sister of the late Oracio Moriera.

A funeral will be held Monday, Aug. 27, at 9 a.m., from the Consigli-Ruggerio Funeral Home (www.consigliruggeriofuneralhome.com), 46 Water St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's of the Assumption Church on Winter Street, Milford.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery on Cedar Street, Milford.

Calling hours are tomorrow from 5 to 8 p.m.

Ludwig G. DiMartino

FRAMINGHAM - Ludwig G. DiMartino, 90, of Framingham, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at Oak Knoll Healthcare Center, Framingham.

He was the husband of the late Phyllis A. (Tofani) DiMartino, who died in 1984.

Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Gabriel and Julia (Tancredi) DiMartino.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, and then worked for the Town of Framingham Highway Department for many years.

He was a member of the D.A.V. and the Eagles, both in Framingham.

He leaves two children, Dante DiMartino of Durham, N.C., and Flora DiMartino of Framingham; five grandchildren, Corinna McNulty of Worcester, Carrie Siler of Woonsocket, R.I., Diane Siler of Kyle, Texas, Lisa DiMartino of Durham, N.C., and Michael DiMartino of Los Angeles, Calif.; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Zachary McNulty, both of Worcester; and two sisters, Stella and Gemma, both of Massachusetts.

He was the brother of the late Flora DiMartino, and Dante DiMartino, U.S. Army 8th Air Force, who was killed in action during World War II.

A time of visitation will take place Monday, Aug. 27, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Ave.), Framingham, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m., in St. Tarcisius Cemetery, Winthrop Street, Framingham.

Instead of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.

Carolyn A. Fleming

NATICK - Carolyn A. (Whipp) Fleming, 72, of Natick, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at her home.

She was the wife of Philip J. Fleming Jr. for 44 years.

A Natick resident for 44 years, she was born in Providence, R.I., the daughter of the late Kenneth H. and Helen B. (Clemmey) Whipp.

Mrs. Fleming was a former waitress at Howard Johnson's in Framingham, Mr. Donut on Rte. 9 and the Wellesley Motor Inn.

She was an avid fan of Natick High School sports, and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate.

Loving her family was the most important part of her life.

Besides her husband, she leaves seven children, Donald Fleming of Clinton, Philip Fleming III and his wife, Kelli, of Framingham, Kenneth Fleming and his wife, Susan, of Bellingham, Jeanne Purcell and her husband, Daniel, of Leominster, John Fleming of Framingham, Patricia Haddad and her husband, Russell, of Franklin, and Frederick Fleming of Florida; three sisters, Helen Fleming and her husband, John, of Natick, Joan Nash of Taunton, and Barbara Williams and her husband, Parker, of Florida; one brother, Thomas Whipp and his wife, Diana, of Arizona; 20 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of Harold Whipp, who died in 2002.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, Aug. 27, at 11:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church, Natick.

Burial will follow in St Patrick's Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Sunday, Aug. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home (www.everettfuneral.com), 4 Park St., at Natick Common.

Elaine I. Getter

PORTLAND, Ore. - Elaine I. (Citron) Getter, 84, died peacefully Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at Robison Jewish Health Care Center.

She was the wife of Carl M. Getter, who died in December 1993.

Born in New York City, the daughter of the late Morris and Irene (Greene) Citron, she spent her formative years in New York and had lived in Natick for more than 40 years before moving to Portland in 2005 to be close to her son. She was a receptionist for Seiler's Food Services in Waltham before retiring.

Mrs. Getter was an accomplished painter and enjoyed still-life painting of landscapes and portraits in oils as well as watercolors. She had a varied interest in music and particularly enjoyed designing silk floral arrangements.

She was an active member of the Wayland Senior Citizens while living in Natick.

She leaves her son, Richard M. Getter and his wife, Shigemi, of Portland; her sister, Joyce Kaplan of Moraga, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 23, at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton St., Sharon.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to a local charity of the donor's choice; or Wayland Senior Citizens, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778; or Natick Senior Center, 117 East Central St., Natick, MA 01760.

Hugo M. Giuberti

FRAMINGHAM - Hugo M. Giuberti, 21, of Framingham, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, in Natick.

Born in Vitoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil, he was the son of Vitor Hugo Giuberti and Lucilia (De Barros) Medina, and moved to Framingham many years ago.

He attended Mass Bay Community College and was a member of Primera Igreja Batista Brasileira De Framingham. He enjoyed playing basketball, soccer, and running Peteca. An avid reader, he studied and spoke many languages including English, Portuguese, German, Spanish, Latin and Japanese. His lifelong dream was to become very wealthy and then return it all to the community.

He always said "the most important thing in life is to love one another."

Besides his parents, he leaves two brothers, Higor Roberto De Barros Pontes and Hyuri Phillip Rodrigues De Barros, of Framingham; a sister, Julia Viana Giuberti of BH, Brazil; five uncles, Joselio B. De Barros, and his wife, Zena, of Medway, Jonas B. De Barros and Fernando Giuberti, both of Espirito Santo, Brazil, Joselito B. De Barros of Acre, Amazonas, Brazil, and Roberto Giuberti of Espirito Santo; three aunts, Lucia B. De Barros Costa, Celia Giuberti and Sonia Elena Giuberti, all of Espirito Santo, Brazil.

His funeral will be held today at 10 a.m., at the Comunidade Presbiteriana Nova Vide, Framingham.

A time of visitation will take place from 9 to 10 a.m., before the ceremony, at the church.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery on Wilson Street in Marlborough.

John C. Porter

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - John C. Porter, 73, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Framingham, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at his home after a short illness.

He was the husband of Patricia A. (Kelley) Porter.

Born in Boston, son of the late Everett and Mary (Curley) Porter, he was a graduate of Boston University.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Porter had lived in Port St. Lucie since 1990 and previously in Framingham from 1965 to 1990. He was employed as a merchandise buyer for Zayre Corp. in Framingham for 20 years.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children, John C. Porter and Kevin M. Porter and his wife, Sheryl, all of Framingham, Donna Konopka and her husband, Edward, of East Douglas, Karen Clain and her husband, Paul, of Framingham, and Patricia A. Johnstone and her husband, Kenneth, of Framingham; a brother, Donald A. Porter and his wife, Rita, of Natick; 10 grandchildren, John, Rachel, Michael, Kelley, and Steven Porter, Tina and D.J. Bradford, and Courtney, Melissa and Jessica Clain; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Porter, and Kearnan Rose, Kayleigh and Bryleigh Bradford; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Robert Porter and Dolly Robare.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m., at St. George's Church, 74 School St., Framingham (Saxonville).

Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.

Visiting hours are Monday, Aug. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham.

Norman R. 'Bucko' Senecal

MARLBOROUGH - Norman R."Bucko" Senecal, 86, of Marlborough, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at Wingate at Sudbury, after a lengthy illness.

He was the husband of Eleanor M. (Lewis) Senecal, who died in 2002.

Born in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Alexander and Blanche (Toupin) Senecal and was a lifelong resident of Marlborough, attending Marlborough Public Schools.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, and received the Purple Heart award.

He was the head of maintenance for several years at Automated Specialties of Marlborough, previously working as a store manager for more than 15 years at the former Walcott and Avey Package Store on Lincoln Street in Marlborough. He was also a shift foreman at the former Marlboro Wire Goods, and a former call fireman for the city of Marlborough.

A member of St. Matthias Church, he was also a member and former Sergeant at Arms of the Marlborough Rotary Club.

He leaves two sons, Alexander J. Senecal of Merritt Island, Fla., and Jon W. Senecal and his wife, Anne F. Mattina, of Hopkinton; four daughters, Norma R. Machado of Sarasota, Fla., Martha M. Hassett and her husband, James Hunt, of Marlborough; Regina M. Vachon and her husband, Richard, of Boylston and Ann C. Marsh and her husband, James, of Leominster; a brother, Albert Senecal of Marlborough; a sister, Rita Oddy of Marlborough; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral will take place Monday, Aug. 27, at 9 a.m., from the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough.

Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Marlborough.

Visiting hours are tomorrow from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

MARLBOROUGH - Ellen (Keohane) Tonner, 54, of Marlborough, died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at UMass Memorial Healthcare in Worcester, after a lengthy illness.
