Jacquelyn M. Allman

WALTHAM - Jacquelyn M. (Peters) Allman, 72, of Waltham, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at Kindred Northeast Specialty Hospital in Waltham.

Born in Boston, daughter of the late George E. and Evelyn Mae (Lewis) Peters, Mrs. Allman was raised in Swampscott and has been a Waltham resident since 1980.

A graduate of Swampscott High School, Class of 1953, Mrs. Allman was employed as a secretary for Bentley College in Waltham and Raytheon Co. in Waltham.

She was a member of the Joseph F. Hill American Legion Post #156 Ladies Auxiliary in Waltham and was a trustee for the Order of the Eastern Star in Newton.

In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, gardening, feeding the birds and squirrels, and watching the Boston Red Sox.

She leaves her daughters, Deborah L. Kauffman of Iowa, Judith Ann Raterink and her husband, Bruce, of Michigan, and Amy Elizabeth Sleeman and her husband, Paul, of Michigan; her brothers, George E. Peters Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, of New Hampshire and Ronald L. Peters and his wife, Sharon, of Florida; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Donald L. Krueger Jr. and grandmother of the late Helen L. Krueger.

A funeral service in celebration of her life will be private for the Allman family.

The Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels in Waltham assisted the family with arrangements.


Roy J. Tiano

LEXINGTON - Roy James Tiano, 76, of Lexington, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

He was the husband of Susan (Abrams) Tiano for 24 years.

Born in Waltham, son of the late Frank A. Tiano and Jennie M. (Fucci) Tiano, he was a resident of Waltham and Lexington for most of his life.

A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1950, he was an exceptional athlete excelling in football, and was inducted to the Waltham High School Football Hall of Fame. He continued his education, earning his degree from Boston University.

Mr. Tiano served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

A gourmet Italian chef, he owned and operated restaurants in Waltham, Nantasket Beach in Hull, and Watertown.

He was a top salesman in the truck body-equipment field for many years and was employed with Garwood Co. and Boston and Morse Body Co., and later served as vice president of Jannell Truck Equipment Inc.

At the age of 60, Mr. Tiano, along with his wife, started a wonderful business, the Artistic Framer, in Bedford. He was an extremely talented artist.

His family will forever remember him as a strong, hardworking man who had an old-time work ethic and till the end, went to work to fulfill orders and to make his customers happy.

He loved sports, working, cooking, and most of all, being with his loving family who will miss his wonderful smile and fun sense of humor.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Karen Chisholm and her husband, Richard, of Billerica, Roy Tiano Jr. of Florida, Debra Face and her husband, Chuck, of New Hampshire, and Paul Tiano and his wife, Susan, of Lexington; his stepchildren, Kimberly Fine and her husband, Moshe, of Ohio and Kevin Cohen and his wife, Nasi, of California; his sisters, Anna McCue and her husband, Walter, of Waltham, and Doris Muirhead of Middleboro; his brothers, Frank Tiano and his wife, Rosemary, of Waltham, and Larry Njus, and his wife, Beatrice, of Billerica; his cherished grandchildren, Richard, Stephanie, Michelle, and Jennifer Chisholm, Kristina, Candace, Marina, Brandon and Katrena Tiano, Chucky and Tia Face, and Eliana, Aliza, Shmuel, Yaakov, Tamar and Ariel Fine; his aunts Eleanor Vanaria and Rose Fucci both of Waltham; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the former husband of the late Florence (Sieca) Tiano.

A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held Thursday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waltham.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Aug. 23, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the funeral home, prior to the service. Parking attendants will be on duty.

Instead of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Wellness Community, 1320 Centre St., Newton Centre, MA 02459; or the First Parish Church in Bedford, 75 Great Road, Bedford, MA 01730.

Redmond F. Dunne

WALTHAM - Redmond F. Dunne, 72, of Waltham, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at his home.

Born in Waltham, son of the late Thomas and Nora (Sullivan) Dunne, he was the owner of Great Northern Tree Co. in Waltham for many years and later worked for R and D Auto Sales.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He leaves one daughter, Susan J. Alexander of Charlestown, R.I.; two grandchildren, Arianna and Warren Alexander; one brother, Thomas P. Dunne of Acton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Edward Dunne.

The funeral Mass will be held Friday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 880 Trapelo Road, Waltham.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham.

Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 24, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., prior to the Mass, at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main St. ( Rte.20), Waltham.
