Obituaries Aug. 10, 2007 - Waltham, MA - The Daily News Tribune: "Beatrice McDonald HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Beatrice (Ward) McDonald, 95, of Hollywood, Fla., died peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at her son's home in Stuart, Fla. She was the wife of the late Thomas F. McDonald Sr. Born and raised in Waltham, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (MacDonald) Ward, Mrs. McDonald spent most of her life in Waltham, Newton and Florida. As a young woman, she was a registered nurse at Waltham Hospital. In her spare time, she loved music, bingo, and most of all, playing golf. She leaves her children, Sally Ann Lahey of Wayland and Thomas F. McDonald Jr. of Stuart; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Caliri, Jessie Kimball, Mary Wheeler, and Robert, Donald, Richard and Earl Ward. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m., at the Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., Waltham. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waltham. Visiting hours will be held today, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Parking attendants will be on duty. Instead of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the hospice of one's choice."
