Linda M. Dupont

Fall River — Linda M. (Ponte) Dupont, 45, of Fall River, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, Monday, August 20, 2007. Born in Fall River, she was daughter of Norbert P. Ponte of Westport and Theresa M. (Capone) Dias of Westport and step-daughter of Daniel Dias of Tiverton, RI. She was a sales representative for Feitelberg Insurance Company in Somerset. Mrs. Dupont was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. A member of the Westport Athletic Social Club, she also enjoyed bluegrass music, camping, traveling, party planning and Saturday night poker parties.
Including her parents and step-father, she is survived by: 2 daughters: Rebecca L. Transue of Fall River and Jessica L. Roy of Fall River; 3 brothers: Norbert "Charlie" Ponte of Westport, Michael D. Ponte of Wareham and Stephen R. Ponte of Westport; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, August 25, 2007 from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M. Calling hours Friday 5-8 P.M. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Muriel B. Perry

Boston — Muriel B. (Gray) Perry, 64, of Portsmouth, RI passed away Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Born in Providence, RI, daughter of the late Ira E. and Doris M. (Adams) Gray, she had lived in Tiverton, RI for most of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist (Old Stone) Church, Tiverton. Mrs. Perry was a home health aide for the Little Compton Nursing Association.
Survivors include 2 sons: Jeffrey P. Perry of Tiverton and Everett J. Kitts of Richmond, RI; a daughter: Sara M. Schuelke of Richmond, RI; 2 sisters: Gloria Anderson of Tiverton and Mazelle Allen of Tiverton; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was grandmother of the late E.J. Kitts.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, August 24, 2007 at the Bliss Four Corners Church, Tiverton at 7:00 P.M. James P. Silvia
James P. Silvia, 84, of Tiverton, RI died August 18, 2007 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Jean (Mendonca) Silvia. Born in Fall River, MA; a son of the late Joseph P. and the late Maria (Vincent) Silvia, he resided in Tiverton for most of his life. A veteran of the U.S. Navy he served during WWII. Mr. Silvia was owner and operator of the former Perfection Automotive Service in Fall River. He was a member of the Musician Union of Fall River. In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Silvia) Garrett of Sacramento, CA; a sister, Elsie Furtado of Tiverton, RI; and a brother Joseph P. Silvia of Swansea, MA.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church Judson St. Tiverton, which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment in Pocassett Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are omitted.
George G. Vandgrift
George G. Vandgrift age 82 of Swansea Aug. 21, 2007. He was the husband of the late Barbara Anne (Chipman) Vandgrift. He was born in Trenton, NJ., on Oct. 20, 1924. He was a resident of Somerset for 30 years, and for the last 12 years he has been a resident of Swansea. He was employed for over 35 years as a Control Room Engineer at the New England Power Plant in Somerset. During World War II he was a member of the Merchant Marine.
