FRAMINGHAM - Michael A. Ianiro, 74, of Framingham, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, after a courageous battle with prostate cancer.

He was the husband of Roberta (Maccini) Ianiro, whom he married July 10, 1999.

Born in Milford, the son of the late Pasquale and Theresa (Moccio) Ianiro, he was a graduate of Framingham High School, Class of 1951.

He served in the Army from May 5, 1953, to May 5, 1955, as a private during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged.

Mr. Ianoro attended Eastern School of Photography and owned several Framingham rental properties. A Framingham school bus driver for 20 years before retiring, he drove Bus No. 2, and was known as "Mr. Mike." He worked at one time at State Lumber Co., Grossman's and Korday Photo Studio.

He was a member of St. George's Catholic Church in Saxonville, the Cadillac-LaSalle Club Inc., New England Cadillac Club, GOAL, DAV, NRA, Southborough Rod and Gun Club and Boys in Green.

He was an original member of the Framingham Heart Study.

He enjoyed hunting, traveling, gardening and doing projects of all kinds at home.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children and their spouses, Michael P. and Kimberly Ianiro of Ashland, Michele and Matthew Carpenter of Holden and Kathleen and Michael Reardon of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Nicole and Megan Ianiro, Matthew, Michael and Marshall Carpenter, Zachary, Aaron and Mitchell Reardon, and Jennie Lynn Tanner; three sisters, Minerva Ciccarelli and her husband, Frank, of Las Vegas, Loretta Torello of Westborough and Patricia Ianiro of Framingham; several nieces and nephews and cousins; and his stepchildren, Vicki Tanner and her husband, Phil, and their daughter, Jennie, of Blackstone, and Gary Panczyk of Oxford.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at St. George's Church, 74 School St., Framingham.

Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham.

Dorothy Priest

STOW - Dorothy (Braman) Priest, 99, a longtime Stow resident, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at Emerson Hospital in Concord.

She was the wife of the late Clarence Irving Priest.

Born in Boxborough, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Eva (Lawrence) Braman. Mrs. Priest would have celebrated her 100th birthday today.

Upon graduating from Hale High School in Stow in 1925, she married her husband, Clarence, and they settled in Stow to raise their family.

Mrs. Priest was employed as a governess for several private homes before her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.

She leaves her children, Clarence Priest of Enid, Okla., Kenneth Priest of Mesa, Ariz., and Richard Priest, Mabel Chisholm and Eleanor McCarthy, all of Maynard; 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great- grandchildren.

She was the mother of the late Ruth and Russell Priest and sister of the late Lawrence and James Braman, Ada Rafuse and Ruth Labombard.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m., at Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home (www.fowler-kennedy.com), 42 Concord St., Maynard.

Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Stow.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Eleanor D. Gardner

WAYLAND - Eleanor (Dales) Gardner, 92, died unexpectedly Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick after being stricken at her residence in Wayland.

She was the wife of the late Bertram Wallace Gardner Jr., whom she married Dec. 26, 1941. He died in November 1990.

Born in Eureka, Kansas, the daughter of the late Elwin Wiard Dales and Katherine Green (Favour) Dales, she grew up on a dairy farm. She began her education in a one-room schoolhouse and was a 1932 graduate of Eureka High School.

She played the cello, was an accomplished horsewoman and avid tennis player. She attended Washburn College, in Topeka, Kansas, and received a bachelor's degree in home economics from Kansas State in 1938.

At Kansas State, she was president of OMICRON NU, which promotes scholarship, leadership and research and is only open to seniors. She participated in College 4-H, was secretary for the Home Economics Club, belonged to the Ionian Society and the YWCA, and was a freshmen counselor. After graduation, she was a home demonstration agent for the Kansas State College Extension Services for three years.

Mr. and Mrs. Gardner moved to Wayland in August 1963 after having lived in Illinois since 1942. She was active in the PTA, the Boy Scouts and Campfire Girls and with the children's choir at First Congregational Church in LaGrange, Ill.

She was involved with the Women's Circle Club of both churches in Illinois and the Deborah Circle in Wayland and spent many dedicated years as a volunteer for the town of Wayland. She was a member of the Trinitarian Congregational Church in Wayland since 1963 and its Ladies Benevolent Association.

Mrs. Gardner used her sewing skills to make garments for the less fortunate and personal gift bags for the Women's Seafarers Friend Society. She coordinated the Christmas gift donations from church members to the Parmenter Health Center in Wayland, and she participated in vacation Bible classes and adult bible classes at church.

She was a member of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists and member of New England Historic Genealogical Society. Her diverse hobbies included sewing, cooking, baking and cake decorating, working with leather, as well as designing and crafting enamel jewelry. She assisted her husband in the editing and illustrating of his many books.

She leaves her children and their spouses, Bertram W. "Bert" III and Kathleen J. Gardner of North Attleboro and Katherine A. "Kay" Gardner-Westcott and Richard L. Westcott of Wayland; grandchildren, Kimberly A. Aliperti and her husband, Vincent, of Geneva, N.Y., Bertram W. IV and Jamie Gardner of East Hampton and Kimberly Marie Costa-Gardner of North Attleborough; her great-grandchildren, Benjamin Gardner, Sarah Ann and Elizabeth Dales Aliperti, Christianna Bevereley and Allison Kathleen Gardner; and her niece, Katherine Dales and her daughter, Madeline Padgett.

She was the grandmother of the late Andrew Charles and Thomas Ian Westcott, and sister of the late Philip F. Dales.

A memorial tea celebrating her life will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. James V. Pocock, pastor of Trinitarian Congregational Church officiating. Her services are being held at Bradford Hall, next to the church due to the church renovations.

Burial will be at a later date in Carbondale, Kansas, the childhood home of her husband.

At her request, there will be no funeral home visitations.

Robert C. 'Bob' Lingley Sr.

NATICK - Robert C. "Bob" Lingley Sr., 84, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at his residence in Natick following a declining period of health.

He was the husband of Gae M. (Starkweather) Lingley for 50 years.

Born in Waltham, the son of the late Vernon M. and Bertha (MacCausland) Lingley, he had been a resident of Natick for more than 45 years, previously living in Dover. He spent his formative years in Waltham and was a graduate of the Waltham Trade School.

He served in the Army during World War II as a private with the 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron Troop E in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theatres and in Central Europe.

Mr. Lingley had a long, distinguished career as a mechanical engineer, beginning with McGregor Instrument and Baxler Labs, both in Needham, Haemonetics of Natick and Nichols Machinery in Waltham, currently known as Parker-Hanafin of Bedford.

He retired in 1988 after 45 years of dedicated service having attained numerous U.S. patents and acknowledgements.

He was a member of the American Legion in Natick and was a New England Patriots fan. He loved hunting and fly fishing and spending afternoons with his grandchildren fishing on Dudley Pond in Cochituate. He liked building stone walls and patios, refinishing furniture and working on other handyman projects.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Robert C. Lingley Jr. of Natick and Gary D. Lingley and his wife, Ann Marie, of Cochituate; and his grandchildren, Joseph C. R. Lingley of Weston, Maelee M. and Jonathan T.E. Lingley of Cochituate and Nicole M. Lingley of Mendon.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road, Cochituate Village, Wayland.

Burial will follow in the MacCausland family lot in Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.

Robert P. Coyne

FRANKLIN - Robert P. Coyne, 50, of Franklin, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at Milford Regional Medical Center after being stricken at home.

He was the son of Isabel A. (Dunleavy) Coyne of Franklin and the late Howard W. Coyne Sr.

Rita Loos

PEABODY - Rita Loos, 73, former resident of Newton, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody.

Born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y., a daughter of the late Adalbert and Melania (Szymkowska) Loos, she received a bachelor's degree from Buffalo State College, a master's degree from Canisius College in Buffalo, and a Ph.D. in history from St. John's University in New York.

She first taught in Buffalo and Orchard Park, N.Y. She taught history at Framingham State College from 1963 through 1998.

She was a member of the Organization of American Historians.

She leaves a nephew, David Loos of West Seneca, N.Y., and a niece, Patricia Crouse of Ohio; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 20, at 2 p.m., at Levesque Funeral Home (www.levesquefunerals.com), 163 Lafayette St. (Routes 114 and 1-A), Salem.

Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in West Peabody.

Linda M. Dallamora

FRAMINGHAM - Linda Murphy Dallamora, 65, of Framingham, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at home.

Born and raised in Framingham, she was a a graduate of Framingham High School, Class of 1959, Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and Boston College. For many years, she was a dental hygienist with Dr. Joel Prives and, most recently, Dr. Kenneth Bachman.

She was past president of the Dental Hygienists Association and a longtime, active member of Forsyth Alumni Association.

A loving mother, grandmother and good friend to all, she especially enjoyed traveling.

She leaves three daughters and their husbands, Lauren D. and Scot Schneiderman of Framingham, Carolyn D. and Craig Celniker of Tokyo, and Jeanine D. and David Alpert, of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren, Ryann Celniker, Samantha, Jack and Chloe Schneiderman, and Mackenzie and Griffin Alpert; two aunts, Margaret Anderson and Mary Mooney; and her former husband, Kenneth G. Dallamora.

She was the niece of the late Ruth Williams and partner of the late Dr. Louis Calisti.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m., at St. Stephen's Church, 251 Concord St., Framingham.

Private burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery at a later date.

Visiting hours are Monday, Aug. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham.

Marlene M. Murray

WESTON - Marlene M. (Malone) Murray, 68, of Weston, formerly of Waltham, died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at Brigham and Women's Hospital after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was the wife of Richard A. Murray.

Born in Waltham, the daughter of the late John and Rosemarie (Ellery) Malone, she had been a Weston resident since 1968. She was the owner of the Ye Olde Cottage Restaurant in Weston Center from 1967 to 1999.

She was actively involved in the fundraising for POW/MIA organizations.

Besides her husband, she leaves her children, David J. Murray and his wife, Jennifer, of Crofton, Md., Deborah J. Falvey and her husband, Michael, of Marlborough, Michael P. Murray and his wife, Rochelle, and Robert L. Murray and his wife, Bridget, all of Groton; her grandchildren, Brett, Kyle, Michele, Michael, Kevin, Brenna, Brady, Caitlin and Jack; a brother, Randall Osborne; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late James and John "Butch" Malone, Gail Mondene and Kenneth McCrudden.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., from George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rte. 16), Wellesley, with a funeral Mass at 11 a.m., at St. Julia's Church, Weston Center.

Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Weston.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Robert L. Childs Jr.

FRAMINGHAM - Robert L. Childs Jr., 70, of Framingham, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007.

Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Robert L. Childs Sr. and Dora (Wallace) Childs. He was raised in Roxbury and graduated from high school there.

An Air Force veteran from 1955 through 1959, he earned both undergraduate and master's degree in education from Boston University. He was employed as an elementary school teacher for many years before retiring.

He leaves his siblings, Yvonne Sullivan of Framingham and Michael Childs of Marlborough; his sister-in-law, Patricia L. Childs; his nieces and nephews, Nicole Ozerova, Patricia Childs Thornham, Barbara Aubrey, Pamela James and Sebastian Childs; great-nieces and great-nephews, Spencer Aubrey, Ashley Aubrey, Brandon Aubrey, Aaron Aubrey, Jocelyn James and Samantha James.

He was the brother of the late John V. and Samuel H. Childs.

Private services will be held at the family's convenience, with burial in Edgell Grove Cemetery.

There are no visiting hours.

Sister Mary Louise Morgan, C.S.J.

FRAMINGHAM - Sister Mary Louise Morgan, C.S.J. (Mary Liguori), beloved member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston for 67 years, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007.

The daughter of the late William and Sarah (Kane) Morgan, she was formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Columbkille, Brighton; Gate of Heaven, South Boston; and Mount St. Joseph Academy, Brighton.

She president of Aquinas College in Milton and was director of continuing education at Regis College in Weston.

She leaves her sister, Gertrude Geran of Worcester and other family members.

She was the sister of the late Rev. William and John Morgan.

Visiting hours are Monday, Aug. 20, from 3:30 to 6 p.m., at Holy Spirit Chapel, Bethany Health Care Center, 97 Bethany Road, Framingham, with a vigil service at 6 p.m., followed by a funeral Mass.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.

Sylvia 'Nana' Kesselman

FRAMINGHAM - Sylvia (Fine) "Nana" Keeeslman of Framingham died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007.

She was the wife of the late Bernard Kesselman.

She leaves her children, Ruth Shapiro and her husband, Sidney, and Arlene Gulko, all of Framingham; her grandchildren, Laura Fardy, Michael Shapiro, Eric Gulko, and Julie Fireman; and six great-grandchildren.

She was the mother-in-law of the late Norman Gulko, sister of the late Samuel, Jennie, Goldie, George, and Marvin, and grandmother of the late Marcia Shapiro.

Graveside services will be held Monday, Aug. 20, at 1 p.m., in Lord Rothchild Cemetery, Baker Street, West Roxbury.

Memorial observance will be at the home of Arlene Gulko, following burial through Monday evening, Aug. 20.

Lawrence W. 'Larry' Hanson

NATICK - Lawrence W. "Larry" Hanson, 64, a lifelong resident of Natick, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, surrounded by family at Miriam Boyd Parlin Residence following a two-year battle with cancer.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m., at Unitarian Universalist Church in Sherborn on Washington Street (Rte. 16), Sherborn.

Burial will follow in the Hanson family lot at Lakeview Cemetery, Wayland.

He was the husband of Joan M. (Hunter) Hanson for 41 years.

Born in Boston, the son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Hurley) Hanson, he was a lifelong resident of Natick and graduated from Natick High School with the Class of 1961.

He served in the Army from 1966 to 1968 during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Thailand with the engineering corps.

Prior to his retirement, he was a manufacturing engineer with Polaroid Corp. of Waltham for more than 35 years and was associated with Wellesley College for 10 years.

He had been a member of the Natick Elks for many years.

Mr. Hanson was a dedicated father and grandfather who enjoyed water sports, grilling and cooking. He was passionate about vacationing with his family and friends at Sebago Lake in Maine and on Cape Cod.

Besides his wife, he leaves three children, Lynne King and her husband, Bryan, of Natick, Lori Doucette and her husband, Mark, of Natick and Mark Hanson of Las Vegas; his grandchildren, Erika and Emily Hanson, Colby and Charlotte King, and Taylor, Madison and Faith Doucette; his sisters, Dotty Pagliarulo of Ashland and Frances Seaholm of Leominster; a stepbrother, Larry Raleigh of East Sebago, Maine; and several nieces and nephews.
