Eleanor A. Leamy
Eleanor A. Leamy, “Auntie George,” age 52, of Tiverton, passed away Friday, August 17, 2007 in St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Thomas E. and Eleanor M. (Ariel) Leamy. She had been a lifelong resident of Fall River before moving to Tiverton in 2001.
She graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School class of 1961. She worked at the former Fall River Inn on Milliken Blvd. for many years.
She is survived by three sisters Barbara L. Leamy and Isabelle M. Rondeau both of Tiverton, Elizabeth G. Leamy-Silvia and her husband Donald of Rehoboth, two brothers John T. Leamy and his wife Nancy A. of Westbrook, Ct., and David T. Leamy of Salem, NH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. SWANSEA — Simone M. (Courtemanche) Thibault, 92 of Wilbur Avenue Swansea, died Friday at the Highlander Nursing Home Fall River.
She was the wife of the late Normand Thibault.
She was born in Fall River a daughter of the late Arthur & Blanche ( LePage) Courtmeanche.
She was a homemaker.
She had lived in Swansea since 1954 coming from Fall River.
She was a parishioner of the former St. Michael Church ( Now St. Francis of Assisi Church) .She was a member of the Swansea Bluffs Council on Aging at the Community Center.
She enjoyed Knitting, Crocheting, Quilting, playing cards. Loved to travel.
She was the mother and mother in law of Robert Thibault of Port St. Lucie Florida, Raymond & Diane Thibault of Fountain Valley California, Ronald & Claudia Thibault of Swansea, Rene Thibault of Stewart Florida., Annette & James Price of Swansea.
She was the sister of Julienne Lynch of Swansea, grand mother of 8 and great grandmother of 7, several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Bertrand Courtemanche, Louise Goyette, Bernadette Levesque, Bertha Thibault, and also the late Theresa Holland.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at a time to be announced from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA.

Michael C. Tripp
TIVERTON, R.I. — Michael C. Tripp, 23, of Fall River passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, August 16, 2007.
Born in Fall River, son of the late Milton A. Tripp, Sr. and Leisha A. Sanford, he had lived in Little Compton, RI and Tiverton prior to moving to Fall River. He was employed as a landscaper. An outdoorsman, who loved animals, Mr. Tripp enjoyed fishing, card games and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his maternal grandparents: Charles & Irene Sanford of Fall River; paternal grandparents: Donald & Joan Tripp of Little Compton; maternal great grandmother: Thelma Sanford of Tiverton; 3 brothers: Matthew J. Sanford of Portsmouth, Milton A. Tripp, Jr. of Little Compton and Private 2nd Class Mark W. Tripp of Westport; a sister: Stephanie J. Tripp of Westport; a nephew: Matthew Sanford, Jr.; a niece: Mackenzie Tripp; several aunts and uncles; and his soul mate: Caitlin Silvia of Little Compton.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport at 1:00 P.M.

Ottelia (Cardoza) Lindo, age 88 of 2446 Highland Ave. formerly of 221 Wellington St. Widow of Manuel M. Lindo. Daughter of the late Joseph O. & Silvana (Rapoza) Cardoza. Passed away in Fall River Aug. 17, 2007 . She was a member of St. Michael Church & its Holy Rosary Sodality. Before retiring, she was a Floor Girl at Tick Tock Frock.
She is survived by l son: David Lindo of Swansea. 3 Grandchildren: Jacob & Caroline Lindo of Swansea & David Lindo of Somerset. 4 Great Grandchildren: Mallorie, Donovan, Kiley, & Molly Lindo. Several nieces & nephews.
She was also sister of the late Hilda Oliveira Cardoza & Mary Oliveira Cardoza.

Martina Carreiro, 89, of Fall River, died Friday, at Crawford Nursing Home. Widow of Marcelino Carreiro. Born in Agua Retorta, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel R. & Rosa (Matias) Carreiro. She was a member of the ILGWU. Mother of Louis, Carlos & Veriato Carreiro and Isaura Bonanca, sister of Gabriel Carreiro and Maria Marcelino, all of Fall River, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Also grandmother of the late Christina Carreiro and sister of the late Manuel, Jose & Veriato Carreiro, and Fernanda Sobreiro.
