MARLBOROUGH - Logan Elyzabeth Ferris, infant daughter of Gregg H. and Hilda (Flores) Ferris, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007, at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Robert J. Miller Funeral Home and Lake Chapel, 366 School St., Webster.

A funeral service will take place Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster.

Michael A. Ianiro

FRAMINGHAM - Michael A. Ianiro, 74, of Framingham, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, after a battle with prostate cancer.

He was the husband of Roberta (Maccini) Ianiro, whom he married July 10, 1999.

Born in Milford, the son of the late Pasquale and Theresa (Moccio) Ianiro, he was a graduate of Framingham High School, Class of 1951.

He served in the Army from May 5, 1953, to May 5, 1955, as a private during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged.

Mr. Ianoro attended Eastern School of Photography and owned several Framingham rental properties. A Framingham school bus driver for 20 years before retiring, he drove Bus No. 2, and was known as "Mr. Mike." He worked at one time at State Lumber Co., Grossman's and Korday Photo Studio.

He was a member of St. George's Catholic Church in Saxonville, the Cadillac-LaSalle Club Inc., New England Cadillac Club, GOAL, DAV, NRA, Southborough Rod and Gun Club and Boys in Green.

He was an original member of the Framingham Heart Study.

He enjoyed hunting, traveling, gardening and doing projects of all kinds at home.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children and their spouses, Michael P. and Kimberly Ianiro of Ashland, Michele and Matthew Carpenter of Holden and Kathleen and Michael Reardon of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Nicole and Megan Ianiro, Matthew, Michael and Marshall Carpenter, Zachary, Aaron and Mitchell Reardon, and Jennie Lynn Tanner; three sisters, Minerva Ciccarelli and her husband, Frank, of Las Vegas, Loretta Torello of Westborough and Patricia Ianiro of Framingham; several nieces and nephews and cousins; and his stepchildren, Vicki Tanner and her husband, Phil, and their daughter, Jennie, of Blackstone, and Gary Panczyk of Oxford.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m., at St. George's Church, 74 School St., Framingham.

Burial will follow in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Framingham.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham.

Winifred G. Leahan

MILLIS - Winifred G. (Pollard) Leahan, 86, of Franklin, formerly of Millis, died Thursday, July 26, 2007, after a brief illness at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham.

She was the wife of the late Frank Leahan.

Born in North Adams, she was the daughter of the late Stanley B. and Ella Mae (Jones) Pollard, and was educated at the North Adams High School with the Class of 1939. She continued her education at Hartford Hospital School of Nursing.

A former resident of Millis for more than 20 years, she also lived in Buzzards Bay, Norton and Plymouth. She had been employed by Drs.' A.R. Stagg Sr. and Jr. in Medfield for many years, and was a former CCD Teacher.

She leaves seven children, Kathleen J. Tomkins of Redondo Beach, Calif., Kenneth L. Cushman Jr. of Medway, Kevin Cushman of Millis, Kerry E. Cushman and Keith J. Cushman, both of Key Largo, Fla., Karen M. Kosmenko of Wrentham, and Kristin Mae Cushman of Basalt, Colo; her sister, Marilyn Atwood of Arizona; and many grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Betty A. Cushman, Barbara Codman, Frederick J. Pollard, Lucy B. Bennett, Ruth Kerr and Stanley B. Pollard Jr.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, October 27, at Noon at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 82 Exchange St., Millis.

Burial will be private.

Linda Moran

SOUTHBOROUGH - Linda (Drake) Moran, of Southborough and Brewster, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at her home in Brewster, after a long battle with cancer.

She was the wife of Kevin Moran.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time and under the direction of the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough.

Margaret R. Nelson

NATICK - Margaret R. (Harmison) Nelson, 92, of Natick, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick.

She was the wife of the late Robert M. Nelson.

Born and raised in Great Bend, Kan., she was a daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Buhrle) Harmison and had been a resident of Natick for the past 41 years, previously living in Chestnut Hill. Mrs. Nelson spent the summer months at her home in South Bristol, Maine.

Owning an old, large farm house in Natick, for many years she rented rooms to students at Babson College in Wellesley.

She was an avid Red Sox fan throughout her life, and enjoyed sewing and gardening.

She leaves four children, Roger K. Samson of Camden, Maine, James Nelson II of Hollywood, Calif., Nancy Chick of Norfolk and Robert M. Nelson of Quincy; five grandchildren, Bradford Samson, Geoffrey Jr., Jane and Andrew Chick, and Jennifer Alexandra Nelson; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Houglin, and Chloe and Gavin Chick.

Burial is private.

Visiting hours are today, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home (www.everettfuneral.com), 4 Park St., at Natick Common.

Vernon H. Scott

MEDFIELD - Vernon Hugh Scott, 50, a lifelong Medfield area resident, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, after a long illness.

Born in Norwood, he was the son of Elizabeth R. (Daley) Scott Hinkley and George Hinkley of Medfield, and the late Hugh M. Scott. He attended the Medfield public schools and Massachusetts Bay Community College.

He was an emergency medical technician and had been employed with the town of Needham at the time of his illness. He had previously worked as an EMT with Millis and Medfield, and in Boston as a phlebotomist.

He greatly enjoyed listening to music.

Besides his parents, he leaves a daughter, Audra Lynn Scott of Medfield; a son, Jarred Hugh Scott of Medfield; two sisters, Kay Waller and her husband, Herman, of Newport Richy, Fla., and Cheryl E.L. Beal and her husband, Donald, of Walpole; a brother, George W. Hinkley IV of Medfield; his nieces Valerie and Brandi; his nephews, Donald and David; his grandnieces, Lainey, Julia and Jillian; a grandnephew, Marcus; and his former wife, Elizabeth.

His service will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m., at the Roberts Mitchell Funeral Home (www.robertsmitchell.com), 15 Miller St., Medfield.

Burial will follow at Vine Lake Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Tuesday, Aug. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
